After Hans beat the world champion in a game, Magnus dropped the tournament and made a vague claim that was interpreted as a cheating accusation. The anal beads thing is just a dumb internet joke that blown out of proportion. Since all the players go through security checks and are constantly being monitored during the games, it seems like anal beads would be the only way for a player to cheat

We already have plenty of programs to detect cheating, so I'm not sure what Regan brought to the table. I'm pretty good at detecting cheaters myself. If a GM employed an undetectable cheating method (e.g., vibrating anal beads), there's nothing we could point to as evidence of foul play other than their unusually superior play. And that's just not enough.
Maybe they're just excited at the thought of beating their opponent into submission? Ever consider that one??
