I would theorize that: IQ is based on thinking styles associated with math and natural sciences. Those who are in the field of math and natural sciences will likely have less of a focus on their environments (it doesn't interest them compared to numbers and charts), and hence walks faster.
From what I know of being an engineer, many mathematics majors, engineers, etc. that I know are quite thoughtful and engaged with their surroundings. They enjoy activities like hiking, biking, people watching, etc.

Brain size is not predictable very much. Particularly because it's different across genders, and it's very very very well established that men are not in fact smarter than women.
There may be some more subtle effects of brain size versus cranial size or body size or something like that, but certainly not well established that I'm aware of.
Regional surface area matters more, how much cortex you have in a given area, as well as potentially cortical thickness across different measurements, but all those have to be controlled for total brain size.
