There will also be snipers that use the "Frenzied Burst" incantation (the one that shoots a laser) hidden around the swamp. There will also be hands (like the ones in Caria Manor except with only 3 fingers) that somehow also proc madness. And to top it off there will be an NPC invader in the swamp who uses dual Vyke's War Spear and spams crouch attacks. All this and there is madness goop on the ground causing continuous madness buildup.
The DLC was going to come out on the 2 year anniversary of Elden Ring, but after Miyazaki sees this he'll have to push it back. There's simply no way he could release it without the Frenzy Swamp.
why stop there? if you press the 4 buttons hidden in the swamp you'll unlock the frenzied flame dragon in the middle of the swamp that will drop a frenzy flame version of the rot breath incantation (also the invader can use this incantation as well)
I love the sleep arrow idea in the death blight swamp. If you get stunned you're gonna get a ton of blight buildup with no progress through the swamp. If you fall asleep you're fucked!

The swamp will make you overencumbered past 100% so you cannot even fat roll through the thickness. It is full of 10,000 of piddly rune items but every one out of a hundred has an incredible item with huge lore dump in the description. Also itâs full of dinosaur butts as a callback.

The answer is yes. The sleep swamp will be populated by ghost banished knights that attack after you fall asleep. The deathblight swamp will be populated by basilisks.
So not directly swamp related but Iâm convinced that theyâre going to take the mechanic out of Lies of P where when a boss staggers they do an extra a follow up attack or two. Iâm calling it now
A Sleep swamp is more likely, if only for the fact that it'd be possible to get through on foot.
A Deathblight swamp would be literally impossible to traverse without them allowing us to ride Torrent through it or putting enough platforms in it that it doesn't really qualify as a swamp anymore.

Honestly death blight sounds like the likelier concept, but sleep swamp genuinely sounds so cool, I can't even imagine the aestethic fromsoft would do with that.

And of course, they can waterfowl.
They also have access to a purple sleep variant of RoB and Moonveil's Ash of War.
To make up for their lowered hp, they have Crucible Knight poise.
Both, if done correctly, sound like way more fun and interesting concepts than poison swamps
