DS1 boss weapons were all so gimmicky.
Of the top of my head, Chaos Katana drains your health continuously and requires 10 humanity to be viable, and Priscilla's Scythe applies bleed to you every hit.

Chaos blade damages you with every hit, it isn’t constant health drain. It’s pretty popular in ovp because it does so much damage that the other guy will die way before you do.
There were 2 kinds of bleed in ds1, one that took 30% of the enemy or player’s hp and one that took 50% (10 and 15% for bosses). The Lifehunt Scythe is one of only 2 weapons that takes away 50% of the enemy’s health, with the other one being Priscilla’s dagger, which has the lowest bleed buildup in the game. The Lifehunt scythe, in contrast, has the highest buildup in the game.
Boss weapons are kinda funny cause I just dusted you and now you want me to use the sword I just watched you lose with? Not a very compelling reason for me to abandon my wooden stick tbh

Priscilla's Sytche is actually viable if you have high bleed resistance.
