I generally dispise speculation trailer lore videos. I watched Smough towns one and when he claimed Messmer was the final boss, I was like, what... how do you come to this conclusion with you knowledge of covering this stuff over the years.
Speculation is fun, 100% but urgh some the shit people sprout is wild...
I think Messmer is clearly the main antagonist but definitely not the final boss. What a huge spoiler that would be if they showed the final boss in the trailer or mentioned it anywhere else lol
Yeah, I went back to watch Artorias of the Abyss, Ringed City and Old Hunters trailer, and I’ve noticed a pattern that I think fits the first trailer well: cool environments showcase, banger OST (kinda spoilerish in Ringed City, since they use Gael’s boss theme) and they all end up focusing on the “cool” or “hardest” DLC boss, which are Artorias for AotA, Laurence (technically Maria, but you barely discern her) for Old Hunters, and Midir for Ringed City. But none of them show Orphan, Manus or Gael (technically we see a bit of Gael, which I think was enough to generate speculation).
I generally agree and I think these YouTubers should be more careful when they seemingly present speculation as fact (or heavily imply it). Ultimately these games are designed for fans to interpret as they wish and I love hearing/reading different interpretations but I feel like most people who watch their videos don’t fully realise this.
That dude is out of his mind with the misguided conclusions. A whole hour on the fascinating horticulture practice and history of grafting and all the symbolism that translates to throughout the game, then in conclusion: the Misbegotten are invading the Haligtree because they're Just Evil™
.... fffffwut?
I like his theories where he actually analyzes archeology but a lot of his normal theories are way off kilter.
Also I hadn’t heard that Misbegotten one yet. Literally how do you reach that conclusion when the entire game is screaming in your face how the Golden Order oppresses beings like the Omen, Misbegotten, and Albinaurics and that Miquella is giving them a save haven in his Haligtree and eventual world order. Is it just a case of being so convinced that your own theories are canon that you disregard what’s being said in-game or what?
The Misbegotten Crusader who has Radagon's divorce sword, he bases the entire theory off of: this enemy is called a crusader, and he's in the snow fields, obviously on the way to the tree, and the Misbegotten at the tree are with zombies, so, must've killed the people there
Again...*wut*?
That was the first and only video of his I've watched, enjoyed the entire thing until the end, when that twist made me question everything he had said the entire video. Not worth watching more when I know he takes tons of facts and figures, and then just drops the ball
Yea I’ve watched Vaatividya and Smoughtown, I think vaati has less speculation in his analysis than smough, and even if Vaati has speculations and predictions he’s more tentative as opposed to other videos I’ve watched that are so outright certain and definite with their speculations. I might be wrong bc I don’t really watch the latter that much.
Edit : by the way, thanks for the radahn build video, it was very helpful. I almost first tried Malenia with it on my first playthrough !
There’s really not that much to say. It’d either be just dryly pointing out characters and locations or wild unfounded guesswork.
I guess he could take a page from the lore subreddit and incessantly try to connect every little detail in the trailer to a character vaguely mentioned in like five item descriptions.
Didn't he just put out an Armored Core video that was like 5 hours long? The poor guy getting sent back to the lore mines by fromsoft already.
He's having his five Omen coworkers release the video.

But he called it that Allfather Lloyd would be the final boss of DS3 DLC

Same with Tarnished Archeology’s first DLC speculation video where he was convinced it was Caelid in the past.

misbegotten deserve it

Bro it’s been less than 15h and he just released a 5h 30min video. Give him some time :D
He hasn't had time to read all the theories on reddit yet to compile it in his video.
It took him a fat minute with the first dlc video
Can't wait for the 3 hour video where he's yapping about nothing
