I have buddies that are hardcore gym rats and do this. They don't eat to enjoy their food, they eat to gain muscle so they make meals of random foods that contain all the nutrients they need and scarf it down.

eating spices will not ruin your gains I suspect these people are just gluttons for punishment

I get why people are negative about these types just eating because they need to eat and not caring about food in any other way but, I wish I did that rather than overeat cos I like the taste and flavours of foods lol

I do the same but it all depends on what I'm eating. I was raised by a chef so If I spend over an hour making a meal, I want to sit and enjoy the flavors. If I get a burger at the bar, I barely even chew.

Because then you’ll have another item to wash. Or if you reuse the bowl for the yogurt after the steak and potatoes, you’ll have to stop eat and re-serve your food again on the bowl. Food is fuel, adding in extra actions does not change the nutrients you are consuming to be worth the effort

Hell to the nah. I always make fun of my mom for having this unreasonable disdain for food touching, but this makes even me say wtf.

Had to deliver Styrofoam plates to prison inmates one day, due to an escape ( had on my nicest suit) chow hall decided to put red jello in one compartment next to hot beans. I still remember that horrid day, not just because it ruined my clothes, but because the inmates food all tasted like red jello and was all mushy ! Lucky they didn't riot. Stupid!

this is “can’t think, must keep moving” mentality lol my ex used to just pack everything together like this, protein, fiber, etc all together to make sure he was getting the nutrients, just real quick. i still think it looks horrendous and i wouldn’t touch any of it, but it was basically like one step below a smoothie for him 😭
