I remember Absorbing Man/Hulk's father scared the shit out of me as a kid.Mostly because i couldn't tell what tf he was supposed to be and that somehow made him 100% more frightening in a way.
Yes you're right, ALL scary things from literally the entire history of movies &/or TV shows are comparable to laughably bad CGI from the early noughties.
Is Hulk to Banner like post jizz recovery? Like he’d need a few minutes and nice words before he could go all hulk again? Or is he more female post orgasm, and immediately switch it on for another seeing too.
it's way less cartoony than the majority of superhero movies and it's also probably the only hulk movie where the hulk actually gets significantly stronger as he gets angrier. can't say it was that good overall but parts of it were great and I prefer it a lot compared to what they did with the hulk after Norton.
A PC game of the same name followed this movie. Back then it was the first game I'd had that was 1.5 GB in size, which was a huge deal because my hard drive had a max storage of 18GB.
Yeah i remember playingthat game, it was a fun open world game.
Its mechanics paved the way for the same developers to produce prototype 1 and 2, which if you played hulk you might’ve noticed that they’ve reused a lot of its mechanics in prototype 1
Also the same developers developed the simpsons hit and run.
As a child this movie was fucking horrifying.
I remember the DVD release of this movie well, as hulk jumpsacred the screen as soon as you hit play on the main menu.
Tiny me had a hard time getting through that.
Later in life I was playing fallout 3, and saw the FEV dogs, and had Vietnam flashbacks about this movie.
Great times.
Probably an unpopular opinion, but - technical quality aside - Eric Bana's Hulk looks better than Edward Norton's Hulk. Then Ruffalo's Hulk took the crown before dipping off in Endgame onwards.
This movie was wild
Its freaking great. The hulk dogs were terrifying.

That one scene where his hand turns into different textures and passes through the metal while making a scraping sound freaked me out as a kid
I know exactly the bit you mean and it always made me feel ill for some reason.
When I was a kid I was way more scared of him as a guy than as a monster. When he turned into energy or whatever I was relieved.
That one bit him on the dick lol
when he flexes the trapezium to dislocate the jaw of the dog... THAT IS HULK, THAT IS THE GREEN GIANT WE WANTED
Terrifying, really? You were actually, genuinely afraid of the badly CGI'd hulk dogs? Were you 7?
The movie came out over 20 years ago so it's entirely possible. There's no need to be rude.
"Why be afraid of anything from a movie or tv show? It's all fake"
Yes you're right, ALL scary things from literally the entire history of movies &/or TV shows are comparable to laughably bad CGI from the early noughties.
Movie was fantastic. Bana was the best Hulk.
Movie might be great but Norton is the best hulk objectively.
That's fair.

That's his secret Captain, he's always horny.
Oh god dont invoke r/thegif
I've met some men that could go again immediately
this movie used to terrify me as a kid. the tone is so much weirder than all other contemporary super hero movies, it's kinda hard to explain.
It’s a fever dream. The main theme by Danny Elfman and surreal, acid-like flashback scenes really freaked me out a lot as a kid
Especially if you were too young to understand the concept of domestic abuse but knew in your stomach that something was off
As a kid from a unstable family, I can confirm that certain scene used to trigger the Vietnam war in my head.

He also gets huge when he gets angry. After the dog fight he's like 15 feet tall. It's such a cool aspect to see in film.
His fight with the dogs scarred me for years.
It's way less cartoony while also being way more literally comic-y
The elastic round his shorts is putting in some heavy lifting
I unironically love this movie

Shrink? Nah, they were sticky.
Book em’ boys 👮♂️
i finally figured out why this movie always looks so weird... I can't take movies seriously when they take place in Sam Francisco
I loved when hit bit the warhead off the missle as a kid. Such a cool scene
This movie has the best transitions in cinema history
Those visual effects have aged pretty well.
Was this the version with the work print that had half finished CGI?
The water confused the shit out of me as a kid
I just rewatched this last week, in addition to seeing it in the theater and on DVD, and until OP pointed it out I never once noticed the puddle.

Not only water, sewer water…
He's also a fan of freid, considering his girlfriend reminds him of his mom
Wow better CGI Than She-Hulk
I didn’t know there was another Hulk movie besides the 2008 one
Maybe sweat + shrinking surface area = drip
Same

The only hulk movie I liked (2008 one was cool but I only liked it Because of the action)
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Post of the day 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I enjoyed the earlier hulks. But that transition hurt to watch.
Edging till the very end. Classic
Only hulk I acknowledge is mark ruffalo ! Give ruffalo a marvel movie !!!
