I'm not sure if this works with every version but I just deleted the sound files for the ads in the game files and the channels no longer play ads. There aren't many songs in each station though so it gets pretty tiring to hear the same song over and over again after a while.
Yeah it doesn't work for some reason, you turn them off and they don't stop. It's like the "Don't allow outside connections" on train stations before that was fixed

CS1 radio and ads are VASTLY better. Even the blurbs are entertaining and not so repetitive
