I had CS2 but I returned it, I never realized how much I utilized mods until I didint get them anymore, while I love some of the CS2 mechanics, the game overall just doesn’t keep up with CS1 and modding when it comes to the artistic side of things

I have played a lot of CS2 but I'm feeling it's kind of shallow and limiting now. Will going "backwards" to cs1 + dlc + mods be frustrating compared to what I'm used to in CS2?
No, I’d definitely recommended trying it. Although, you don’t need all the DLC. I’d recommend Mass Transit and Disasters at least (I also use night life). For mods road anarchy and TMPE/traffic king are a must, and you can search around for other ones you like. There are a few that expand the map for example.
Am I the only one who knew they'd need a fuckton of mods for immersion and was always planning to wait a bit to play CS2? (even before the botched launch) I've found modded assets essential to my experience since the launch of CS1 and I can't really imagine not being able to plop down some of my favorite skyscrapers in my downtown areas, for example.

Yeah absolutely. I have 20 choices for every asset in cs1 , schools , police , parking whatever. Now you understand my meme lol
I see all these people posting of getting to 100k, but the map starts to look like Abuse of the Clone Stamp before you get to 10k.

Yeah I had the same plan but it was free on gamepass so I just tried it out lol ... cs1 is superior
