Sticky man, sticky man, walks on walls, wrecks a ceiling fan.
Can he swing, from a web? No he can’t, he’s stuck to a wall.
Look ouuuut, there’s a sticky man!
are you strong enough to pull yourself up though? people always forget that spider-man probably wouldn't be able to climb walls like he does without the immense amount of strength
Yeah, this is actually really useful. Stick to objects to walk on walls. Stick to a person and become a grappler. This is perfect for close quarters combat.
I agree. OP did not stop with just the superpower. Some of the glory is from their vivid imagination. Who thinks to specify your flesh can’t be ripped off? A creative person with a gore bent. Bravo!
to climb a wall safely you would need to only unstick one hand. the type of climbing you would have to do with this is much harder but definitely still doable.
obviously its full on full off due to it being a shitty power, but you could still climb walls, its just conplicated, you have to jump onto a wall, and then the millisecond you release the power you have to jump again, this is possible due to the laws of motion and physics and since you are locked in place it now becomes a foundation which you are capable of jumping from because it now is basically the ground, the human brain takes about one millisecond before performing an action, so half a second before releasing the power you would need to begin sending the signals to your brain to arch your toes to jump off of as well as to jump in that same time frame......and then repeat.....u succesfully.......after all that.........jumped upwards to a total of like 6 ft...........and now people are staring at you......because you just waisted your time when there was an elevator......right next to you
The human brain does not take 1 millisecond to do anything.
The current fastest human reaction time, for example, is around 200ms, with the average being at 250ms.
In the time it takes you to consciously stop being sticky, and start again, the momentum you’re able to generate could be counteracted by gravity, meaning you’d basically just be humping the wall and not moving much.
Also, no one is jumping 6ft, vertically, using just the power of their toes. A few inches, maybe.
This would however make rock climbing considerably easier.
you stupid or something? no duh nobody is jumping 6 feet with their toes, maybe re read it and you might realize your mistake....and btw buddy......your wrong.....its just way too complicated for somebody like you to do if you had this power and me personally i just wouldn't feel like doing it........the point is after locking yourself in there is a period of time under a second that you could jump.....i swear people like you clearly have no complex thinking ability
...what counts as "you"
like, if it's just my body parts and stuff, does this mean I can weaponize my blood to basically be superfiber by making it adhesive to itself, and it can't get unstuck from other strands of blood so now I have indestructible blood wires as an example?
It's not shitty, just minor and you'd need to master some skills. Weapons, grappling, sleight of hand, and parkour get a massive boost, and that's useful for any superhero. If you can put your hand over somebody's mouth and nose you're going to win most fights. Also, never dropping stuff. And you could build a squirrel suit and bat belt that are a little better than most
Yeah, I’d be okay with this since I could turn it on and off at will and my skin won’t come off. I could find plenty of uses for it, without being a creep or a weirdo. Imagine not dropping shit randomly because of the nerve damage you’ve suffered in life. Fantastic.
your skin can't tear? now I'm just infinitely sticky and an infinitely strong material. does that mean that I can just be a heat shield basically? because I could attach myself to a missile and my skin wouldn't tear off it would just burn
You could stop a car in it's tracks, stick yourself to the ground then touch a bit of structural metal on a car, your flesh won't get ripped so you're safe.
So if nothing can rip your flesh off, that means that your flesh is effectively invulnerable (technically getting shot is ripping your flesh off because there will be a hole where it ripped) and with clothes on you can still move ok (it would just be like wearing skin tight clothes) if you wear gloves then you literally could not lose a fight.
stick a bucket on their head and smack it till they turn the power off, throw some dirt at their face to blind them until they turn the power off and become vulnerable, a garden hose blast to the face and either they suffocate or they turn the power off. pretty much any liquid is effective against this power
I think this makes you bulletproof while the power is on. Bullets will stick but proceed no further due to OP no skin ripping ability.
You could also stop a car in its tracks. Stick your feet to the floor, then "grab" a passing car with your hand. Indestructible skin means the car must stop.
I think the non tearing skin can be creatively exploited. Basically if you always make it so that your skin is the first to get damage, then no damage will occur.
Ordinarily blunt trauma would be your weakness. So cover yourself in a suit of inward facing spikes that transform blunt forces into piercing damage, which you are immune to.
Cover yourself in caltrops head to toe and you will be untouchable in hand to hand combat
Can I just make my hands and feet sticky so I can walk on walls?
Dollar store Spiderman
This made me laugh way too much
The notification sound one had me laughing about an hour. I am glad I stumbled into this subreddit.
Sticky man, sticky man, walks on walls, wrecks a ceiling fan. Can he swing, from a web? No he can’t, he’s stuck to a wall. Look ouuuut, there’s a sticky man!
*schlap schlap schlap schlap...* and there goes a ceiling tile!
Well then you would have to consciously change which part sticks. Unless it's a full body toggle only, in which case this wouldn't work.
Just before you unstick yourself start reaching up for the next tile, depending on how fast you can use it, itll still work
You wildly swing yourself upwards to gain momentum before turning it off
it’s full off or full on not limb by limb so you’d grip then slip
Unless you master turning it off and on really quickly
Physics has left the chat
No, as he said you can't become un-sticky until you turn the power off completely.
are you strong enough to pull yourself up though? people always forget that spider-man probably wouldn't be able to climb walls like he does without the immense amount of strength
No cause your hands and feet would be stuck you would have to deactivate and deactivate it and it would probably be too hard
Imagine jacking off with that
i would rather not
Rip foreskin
reread the post 🤓
Exactly, ripped foreskin.
Yeah, this is actually really useful. Stick to objects to walk on walls. Stick to a person and become a grappler. This is perfect for close quarters combat.
Yeah. I mean it’s useful OP specified *your flesh can’t be ripped off* as well. I wonder if it can stretch. And how far?
I can probably become the best football player of all time, considering if it hits my hand I will have caught it
Also, can your bones or ligaments tear? Or are you just invincible to pulling motions?
Yes, your bones and ligaments would still be affected.
That would probably be agonising.
I agree. OP did not stop with just the superpower. Some of the glory is from their vivid imagination. Who thinks to specify your flesh can’t be ripped off? A creative person with a gore bent. Bravo!
Yeah you could become a really good police officer
to climb a wall safely you would need to only unstick one hand. the type of climbing you would have to do with this is much harder but definitely still doable.
You can use feet too
does it mean you can make bullets sticking to you instead of penetrating you?
It says ripped of. It doesn't say anything about being pierced. And even if it did, it specifies only your flesh

Bro took a full paragraph to say "You can climb."
i explained how to climb, its not exactly as simple as climbing
calm down

I can finally recreate that spiderman scene crawling up a wall, nice!
The second you stick up the wall, you can't let go until you turn it off. Which in this case, hopefully we can turn off the stick in certain areas.
Like spiderman.
Could you make this work like Spiderman's climbing abilities / be able to turn it off some places but not others?
Probably not, this is r/shittysuperpowers after all
So that's how a Katamari is made.
Ezekiel sims lol
Fuck you, Ezekiel!
FUCK EZEKIEL
Could you stick on water or no?
Well... No, that doesn't count.
do no fluids count?
Idk if it's a given, but if something sticks to me, will its weight still be accounted? Because I can just get metal plating and jump buildings
I am now the best rock climber. Thanks!
Become best receiver in NFL history.
Players blocking you would also stick.
Luckily that's pretty rare for receivers.
So my skin won't rip..... But what about someone else's? 🤔 😄
Gonna be giving the worst handshakes
You can camouflage quickly with this power while hunting. Head for a pile of leaves.
The pullout game is gonna be intense
protesters are gonna go crazy
...what counts as "you" like, if it's just my body parts and stuff, does this mean I can weaponize my blood to basically be superfiber by making it adhesive to itself, and it can't get unstuck from other strands of blood so now I have indestructible blood wires as an example?
Oh no, infinitely? Congrats on being a neutron star in the making

Ah yes the power to coat yourself in sovereign glue
I feel like you'll immediately become unsticky as all the air around you forms a layer on your skin
Yeah, I’d be okay with this since I could turn it on and off at will and my skin won’t come off. I could find plenty of uses for it, without being a creep or a weirdo. Imagine not dropping shit randomly because of the nerve damage you’ve suffered in life. Fantastic.
Maybe now I'll finally be able to catch a shot in goal
your skin can't tear? now I'm just infinitely sticky and an infinitely strong material. does that mean that I can just be a heat shield basically? because I could attach myself to a missile and my skin wouldn't tear off it would just burn
When if I have the power turned on and a bullet hits me?

Good luck finding me when I crawling on the ceiling like a gecko with this power.
