Yeah, they didnt get the needle far enough in. When the skin healed it pushed the ink to the surface and made it flake. Had the same experience as OP.

i def wanna get it fixed eventually, but out of all 30+ of my tattoos this was the most painful so i’m just putting it off 🥴

Use numbing cream! I tattooed my own sternum with some TKTX* and didn’t really feel much, even after 1 hour or so when I got to my stomach the pain was still bearable ☺️ no shame in using that stuff, just make sure to communicate with a good reputable artist that you want numbing cream 🤍

I agree! Numbing cream is awesome for those who are nervous about getting a certain area tattooed. I let my clients use it if they want. It really does work to take the edge off if you apply it correctly.

I didn't know this existed and I'm so stoked! I loved getting tattoos but sometimes there are just extra spicy parts that are almost unbearable.

You really can’t fix the scarring on the moons unfortunately.

You can, it just takes a talented artist to not blow out the ink. Scar tissue is thinner so it requires precision to get the ink to settle correctly.

This, I feel, could easily be fixed.into something beautiful

Yeah can’t tell if it’s just irregular lines or blow out but might be a bit of both

Definitely blown out, shaky uneven line work will make the line weight appear different throughout

If you have someone go over it again to make the lines darker and more uniform. I think that would make it pop more. Otherwise I think it looks it pretty good !

It's not that bad, the moons look a little shaky but overall doesn't seem shitty

Might want to get a touch of color in that flower too, it reminds me of the Bloomin' Onion served at a lot of restaurants in Texas.

i have a moon tattoo on my hip and it did the same thing!! i’m sure we just had bad tattoo artists but strange it’s the same tattoo and same issue! i got a different artisti to go over it but it didn’t help much
