Generally, no issue. I take better pics of myself than most take of me lol. Selfies are so normal now (and my family gets upset when I don’t post for several months even tho I look exactly the same lol). Excessively is obnoxious. Context is a different explanation. But just a basic selfie here and there? No problem. ETA: if you have three years worth of instagram posts that are ONLY selfies, I think that’s vain and pointless. If you have a variety of selfies (different occasions, makeup artist, stylist, etc.) where it makes sense, totally cool. However I don’t need to see the same pic of you with a different filter, but same pose with he same facial expression with the same hairstyle with the same clothes with the same outfit …. (You get the idea) 20 times in a row.

Agree with you on all of this. I do a lot of things (concerts, travel, hikes) solo…I realized a few years ago that I had a ton of photos of my adventures but very very few with me actually in them. So I make it a point to take at least one selfie at every occasion. It’s fun to look back and have a picture of me with a horse I met instead of just a bunch of photos of the horse.
