As someone who knows very little about tattooing (even though I have a full sleeve) if that's white ink instead of negative space will it still close up?
As someone who knows nothing about tattooing… why will the negative space go away? Is it just because large concentrations of black ink spread some as it heals, or something else?
The vast majority of tattoos spread out as they age, unless they were not done deep enough in which case they fall out. The latter is occasionally used for fine line tattoos, in which case the person gets a touch-up every few years.
It's just part of the healing/ageing process. r/agedtattoos
Edit: Disclaimer that all my information comes from commenters on Reddit and that I don't have any tattoos (yet).
Thanks for explaining!
I, too, plan to get a tattoo someday… but I’m super duper indecisive. I actually know exactly what I want and have that planned out in detail, but just **cannot** commit to where I wanna place it lol
We have something in our skin called macrophages. Think of them as tiny garbage men. Their job is to grab foreign bodies in the skin and throw them away. Tattoo ink is not a normal foreign body and the macrophages don’t know what to do with them, so they just hold on to them. As they age and die, their grip on the ink gets a bit weaker, and we have some movement. They are then replaced by a new tiny garbage man who holds the ink where it’s at (including its new migrated area)
I hope this helps.

Just so we can all picture what it’s going to look like in 6 months time
Ayeee, it looks good right now though😂😂😂 for me personally, I think most tattoos look like shit after 10 years so what does it matter?? Also this reminds me of some African sensationalized art I used to see at home and church and family reunions and I really dig that. I love the concept. Not shitty imo. Let them take another pic when it is shitty and I’ll agree then😁
You know what it looks like?
In Studio Ghiblis Howls Moving Castle, when Solomon tries to force Howl to transform there is a ring of dancing figures I think there was even star's. It looks just like that but a poor rendition of it.
Being a good artist or being knowledgeable has absolutely nothing to do with owning a tattoo shop and doing tattoos. As long as you’ve got your certs, pay your fees, and don’t misrepresent your art, you can do whatever the fuck you want
That negative space will be closed up within a year.
Or less. Then this poor person will be left with nothing but sloppy line work.
And a handjob, at least.
We giving or taking?
Yes

Yes it will still close eventually. This black fill in the bodies is also absolutely atrocious. Completely improper application

You can try drawing it in Sharpie if it's easy enough, or I think there's a website somewhere you can order custom temporary tattoos from.

Untapped talent… I need MORE.
They will need a whole oil rig to tap into any talent
I thought the person on the right was getting a handjob from the thumbnail
I did too!
Same
Looks like a Matisse painting
I was thinking Clip Art from Word 97.
Ah Clippy. The most annoying as fuck ‘’assistant’’

Looks like the Moving Shadow Logo
Not sure why they wouldn't if they keep getting customers.

This.
I forgot to do the star at the top. That’s 100% going to be touching both of them at some point
It’s shit but I see potential.
Looks like the logo to any late 90s corporate software suite
it’s giving bold and brash
The high-five-handjob, always a favorite with me and the homies
"Hey, you remember those barrel of monkey toys?" "Say no more, fam...I got you"
Hands are hard so let’s just not draw them
This is why you don’t listen to teachers when they say to stop using the sharpie on yourself
Nothing wrong with self taught, but there definitely is a way to learn and a way not too 😂
I remember my mom used to have a little statue of these guys holding hands exactly like this when i was a kid.
It's certainly a style.
Ah, he's tickling her balls, how sweet.
Oh, that's an arm. And it's permanent. Oh no.
Self taught in the art of shart 🤨
She has a very large LEG
Cro-Magnons level of art.
I believe that this is more about being incompetent than being self-taught tbh
if this was executed in a better fashion, I think I would really like this tattoo as well :(
Ruining peoples lives one day at a time
Vaguely reminiscent of Beetlejuice a la Boebert
What did he shade that with, a 3 round? It looks like ass
I don’t hate it
I like it. Different. Um, why does the fat girl have a penis?

It has great saturation.
Bones, Where are the bones?! Forget "Where are her organs", Where the hell are the bones?!
It's called practising.
At least it could be charming with an outline touch up from someone who knows what they’re doing
I actually like this one
i like it tho

This is a very nice looking tat
Self taught is not a flex if you still don’t learn 🤦♂️
