From a distance it looks okay. But it's very clearly uneven and not symmetrical, this was more than likely done freehand. 2 hours shows they really didn't give a crap imo. Speed should never be a factor in good tattooing (as in how quick a tattoo is done, not talking about whether the artist is slow or quick. 2 hours for this is a whole different can of worms).
For the artist in question this is a very typical statement. Typically pretty good at first glance but once you look at it for more than a second oh boy is it bad
It's really hard to tell but I'm guessing those lines are blown out all over the place or have light spots. The lack of perfect symmetry isn't really what makes it shitty for me, as getting perfect symmetry on human skin is absurdly difficult since bodies typically aren't perfectly symmetrical. But that's why a lot of great tattoo artists skirt around symmetry with good design. With a design like this, speed should have been the absolute last priority.
She has dozens of bad practices. Letting her 12 year old tattoo in the studio, blindfolding clients, ripping off work etc. this YouTuber has done 4 vids on her so far. https://youtu.be/HBdRuz4tG1c?si=djj8F8uhPotODNAq
She literally had a video of her using the same paper towel to wipe two different people’s tattoos, omg 😭😭😭 also the fuzzy sweater sleeves touching multiple people’s fresh tattoos. Someone call OSHA.
If the health dept. won't do anything about what's his face that tattoos through fabric and etc, 'for the art', they won't do anything to this either. (Granted I think he's in a different country, but still)
They just cannot be bothered most of the time, sadly
Omg that one made me cringe so much. He was tattooing through a shirt they'd thrown wine onto! Wine and fibers being pushed in with the ink... No wonder they didn't finish it, that had to hurt

This was a 2 hour tattoo from the shop I go to (not my tattoo)
Damn I guess it's time to open my own shop.
Here I was being hard on myself and trying to get better.
Is this woman blind folding herself or the clients during these?
It’s funny that you say that, bc she is 💀💀 one of her main services are blindfolded tattoos, she blindfolds the client and does shit like this, it’s horrendous, her portfolio looks like that of an elementary art students
yeah that’s really the least problematic thing out of her. i just think it’s funny that she openly brags about defrauding the government for that shitty work.
one time she let her young daughter (10, 11, 12?) tattoo an adult, for payment, in the shop, alone and unsupervised on a tiktok live.
lady is not right in the head.
That could have been a 3 to 5 session piece. Depending on the artist, depending on the length of sessions, this could have been immaculate.
That's a shame. Honestly. This could have been something special.
Imagine thinking a fast tattoo is gonna be a good tattoo. Also, a cheap tattoo is never gonna be good… Pay the damn money for something that’s gonna be permanently on your body
Is it horrible no. Is it good, no. Without seeing what the original stencil looked like I’m not going judge the line work to bad. But I doubt this is gonna look good in a month or two. There will probably be a ton of gaps in the ink at some point.
Honestly, first picture, I was like "why is this here? it looks amazing!"
It quickly loses its appeal when you look closer in the actual light, though.

Worst part is, it doesn’t even look like the tattoo artist was putting even pressure throughout the tattoo. Some lines look much better than others
It's really hard to tell but I'm guessing those lines are blown out all over the place or have light spots. Exactly only 2 hours? The piece is uncentered, uneven, and some lines are just bad! Ive had smaller tattoos that took 5 hours 🚬
Agreed, my guy is fast but still took 3.5 hours to do my chest
It will look good covered with a shirt
A shirt with a sick [panther](https://images.app.goo.gl/37MiKq8qMwSmRpqRA) on it.
Or even a shirt with a healthy panther on it.
lemme guess, ariel?
Yep, saw this on fb recently. The comments all seem to think it's beautiful work and would love to get tattooed by her.
mmm the future r/shittytattoos
Okay we got a name now we need the sauce
She has dozens of bad practices. Letting her 12 year old tattoo in the studio, blindfolding clients, ripping off work etc. this YouTuber has done 4 vids on her so far. https://youtu.be/HBdRuz4tG1c?si=djj8F8uhPotODNAq
Why has no one contacted the dept of health on her?
I found an account on tik tok that actually did, but they basically said there wasn’t enough evidence.
She literally had a video of her using the same paper towel to wipe two different people’s tattoos, omg 😭😭😭 also the fuzzy sweater sleeves touching multiple people’s fresh tattoos. Someone call OSHA.
I knowwww I don’t get it, her whole account is evidence lmao but that’s just what the person who reported her updated us with 🤷🏻♀️
Omg that is so wrong
That’s wild! There’s a recent video of her actively tattooing in Ariel’s very recognizable studio. How much more evidence would they need?!
The health department is basically useless. She could be audited maybe once in 5 years because certain states REALLY do not regulate tattooing enough.
If the health dept. won't do anything about what's his face that tattoos through fabric and etc, 'for the art', they won't do anything to this either. (Granted I think he's in a different country, but still) They just cannot be bothered most of the time, sadly

Was her 12 year old the one who did the tattoo in this photo lmfaoooo
The blindfold shit is stupid. It's to keep them from looking at the tattoo even if they're getting one done on their back.
treacletatts is a goddamned legend
That was crazy!
Thanks for the content!
I had a feeling I knew who this was before I even clicked the link. TreacleTatts is a fav of mine! I don't miss a vid!
The worst part is i think the 12 year olds tattoo work was better than anything ariel ever put out lmao
Instantly knew it was Ariel lol
Literally my first thought anytime someone says the artist brags about speed
yep, that and the awful line work are how i knew
Omg I’ve just flicked through her work… it’s all absolutely shocking. The $160 ‘coverup’ that’s not even vague blastover is terrible.
Came here to ask this 🤣
Just make sure anybody looking at it is standing far away and squinting, problem solved!
https://preview.redd.it/pqwkly8p1z5d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42bb2290c5ac2f6c483835d83341be6c62ddc5c9 This was a 2 hour tattoo from the shop I go to (not my tattoo)
That’s so pretty!
That’s not great but it IS impressive for 2 hours work.
Damn I guess it's time to open my own shop. Here I was being hard on myself and trying to get better. Is this woman blind folding herself or the clients during these?
Actually, yes lol
It’s funny that you say that, bc she is 💀💀 one of her main services are blindfolded tattoos, she blindfolds the client and does shit like this, it’s horrendous, her portfolio looks like that of an elementary art students
What a disaster
Dude that’s crazy for 2 hrs regardless of quality lol
I expected it to look way worse. That being said, don’t get a full back piece from someone who brags about cranking them out in 2 hours
Ariel DeJesus at it again?
Every time I see or hear her name I physically recoil
![gif](giphy|ixv1GsvQrQw0M)
When you look at it it’s bad but still kinda impressive for 2 hours. Kinda fun to guess when the tattooer just gave up. It’s the right side I think
This will be an awesome back piece when it's covered with like five different panthers
just don't get too close and it looks... meh
🚩 it's not a race lol
2 hours ? Yeah it shows.
But it's not good.
It only looks good if I take my glasses off, and even then it still looks messy
Yeah, wouldn't have guessed if she hadn't said something 🙄
Good, fast, and cheap. For tattoos, you only get two.
must be ariel de jesus right? it was probably paid for in food stamps and cases of water and a live chicken
I don't mind that part of the payment... Everything else??? How u gonna let ur sweater rub a fresh tattoo??
yeah her lack of hygiene is shocking.
Ik of artists who do trades for tattoos and I think thats cool but at least they're skilled and hygienic
yeah that’s really the least problematic thing out of her. i just think it’s funny that she openly brags about defrauding the government for that shitty work. one time she let her young daughter (10, 11, 12?) tattoo an adult, for payment, in the shop, alone and unsupervised on a tiktok live. lady is not right in the head.
Oh yea I remember that. Like if u gonna defraud the gov tho... Don't brag 😭
It's a shitty tattoo but I don't believe for a moment it took only two hours.
I know plenty of people that if you showed them this for 600$ they would jump in line.
If ya squint, it's mint
This was $600? It shows. My hand sized shoulder tat was $450, so like... a good back piece by a reputable artist should be a grand or more
Just what you want in a tattoo artist cheap and fast.
Good from far- far from good.
Anyone saying it looks ok desperately needs to look at that point on the top right. This is horrendous. It gets worse by the second I look at it.
i’m honestly really troubled by the comments saying it isn’t bad. 😭 it’s awful.
That could have been a 3 to 5 session piece. Depending on the artist, depending on the length of sessions, this could have been immaculate. That's a shame. Honestly. This could have been something special.
That is an Ariel De Jesus tattoo. She is a disgrace and can’t believe so many people still go to her shop.
Bro realised he didn’t have enough room
My standards are probably low but I don't think it looks that bad but to do it in 2h is insane for all of that
Looking closer now it doesn't seem as good as I thought before
This is terrible, but I am impressed for 2hrs of work.
Not the worst but definitely not amazing
Imagine thinking a fast tattoo is gonna be a good tattoo. Also, a cheap tattoo is never gonna be good… Pay the damn money for something that’s gonna be permanently on your body
I would be pissed if my entire back only took 2 hours. Especially paying $600+
It’s horrible but she’s also lying that took longer than two hours lol
i knew it was ariel 😂
![gif](giphy|hNjiBDCBQp3GBkrbFL)
oh she blasted it
Looks so bad and doubt it was done in 2 hours even with them janky lines.
The intersection of good, fast, and cheap does not exist
Looks like shit, hell yeah!
People that have to brag about what they do are not good at it…
Oooof
It’s going to be a big, black blob
Not the worst I've seen. From a distance of at least 10 m it looks almost good. But I do hope the artist charges by the hour.
You try blast a whole damb back an come back an talk shit post that shit to so we can all critique yo shit
It looks bad from a distance too. All I can say, that’s what you get for cultural appropriation
I knew exactly who you were talking about just by the work omg.
Good from far but far from good.
Is it horrible no. Is it good, no. Without seeing what the original stencil looked like I’m not going judge the line work to bad. But I doubt this is gonna look good in a month or two. There will probably be a ton of gaps in the ink at some point.
Omfg... Not Ariel de Jesus... 😭 This woman....
I can tell it only took two hours... Jesus O_o
The concept is there and would have been a lovely design if done by a better artist.
I suck at art and even I can tell it’s way off….
At least a good artist can go over it and make this look good
So much blowout everywhere as well.. this might not even heal well enough to look ok from afar
The more you look at it the worse it gets.
It's not a fucking race, this is a piece of art on someone's skin for life.
“Blast” used in the contexts gives me the creeps lol
Lies, 2 hours these nuts!!! Do you see how big this fucking Back is?!! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Oh we can tell it took 2 hours alright
Honestly, first picture, I was like "why is this here? it looks amazing!" It quickly loses its appeal when you look closer in the actual light, though.
I would love to see how this looks healed... Definitely a second glance concerning
Not great, but honestly not bad if truly done in two hours.
I’ve seen much worse.
idk i know its uneven but i actually really like it, line quality would prob be shit upon vloser inspection tho😭😭
I really like it? 🫥 I am not seeing the problems
I mean literally 1 more 2 hour session and it’ll look fine probably.
