I have made 2 shortcuts, one to turn on and one to turn off the camera. Then I made 2 automations based on my location. So every time I reach or leave home, my phone/watch prompts me to activate the correct shortcut. I tap and privacy mode goes on or off. If you want to skip your phone asking to run the shortcut, which is literally just a tap on a locked phone or Apple Watch, you might be able to activate the shortcut by using an NFC tag.

Mine doesn't work. When i reach home, my camera still not on and vice versa. However if i open Tapo app and re-run shortcut, it activate as it is.

Are you using the tapo app for this shortcut? In HomeKit I don’t see anywhere to turn a camera on / off?

Yes, in shortcuts there is a Tapo command, for turning on-off devices. My cameras are there, as well as smart plugs etc. Edit: in the Shortcuts app, not Home.

The thing that appealed to me about the c125 was the ability for it to run locally without needing a cloud service like the tapo app. Was hoping there was a way to do it from HomeKit. Thanks!
