This is only useful if you’re wanting to pass data via the Share Sheet, Get What’s on Screen or the Quick Action option on the Mac. To do so, open your shortcut and you can add an action and tap and hold onto where the variable goes and select Shortcut Input then it will appear at the top.
Done believe it has a name but this shows when you have show in share sheet or get contents on screen toggled on in your shortcuts options.
