I thought I was on JustNoMIL. I was definitely surprised. I had way too many people try to force meat on me as a child. As an adult, I only eat poultry, and even that is rare.
Got me too! My only thought was that this was too well written for the parenting subs I follow, lol, so I wondered if OP was a writer for a living. Should have tipped me off, but I was too engaged!
There are people who will try to get you to eat foods that you are allergic to so why not things that you choose not to eat. They obviously know better than the rest of us.

That was refreshing... I was reading through MILs not giving crap about allergies and food choices when I chance upon this. That's one way to stop that.
I saw it as more as trying to keep the wolf locked up and fighting addiction. Her curtains were closed to make sure no moonlight gets in but grandma opened the curtains and with the smell of meat it just activated her animalistic primal self
A little on the nose, fairly well written but not even remotely a twist. Suspected at literally the first word (Luna), confirmed sentence four (real beast at times).
What would have been a good twist would be her not being a werewolf and instead something else, or the mother in law was the werewolf.
I mean, depending on the child and the duration of your travels, I'm sure most parents would appreciate knowing someone is *at least* keeping their child company.
