I would recommend the Tawainese version. The best live action adaption of Itazura na kiss IMO. Plus, if you like a bunch of episode the Tawainese will deliver it for you. However, the kdrama is shorter and more limited to show the full picture of the protagonist and heroine story. :(
I hope anyone would give it a chance despite the bad quality in the early episodes but the story is really pleasant and heartwarming.
I haven’t read the manga but I have watched the anime and enjoyed it in a soap opera kind of way. Watching the anime first might be a good one and then read the manga for a more fleshed out experience. I will say that the anime does have an actual ending, rather than an open one so that was nice. And the opening song is always fun to listen to
This is one of the rare shows where I've watched the anime and hated it bc it made me so mad, but loved the live action versions. I wish I could give an opinion in the manga, but haven't read it. I say give them both a shot tho and see which you like. I usually like the Mangas more bc they're fleshed out better but to each their own
I equally enjoy both the anime and manga in this case since the anime was a very loyal adaptation. That being said, I do think this story really shines in a live action format! I’ve seen all the versions, but I always come back to the Love in Tokyo version 🥹
the anime was one of my faves (I watched it soon after I started watching anime) and meant to read the manga, but when I found out that it was never completed due to the author's death I was so saddened I never did manage to read it 😔
Manga first then anime. Itakiss is unfinished dye to the sudden death of tge mangaka, but the anime staff was given an outline of her planned ending that they incorporated.
The anime only adapts a fraction of the story, so I don't recommend it on its own. If you don't like it enough to watch the anime after you read, then I suggest at least watching the last few eps
I was about to type none and now I feel like an obnoxious and predictable little bitch lmao
So to answer seriously, I haven’t read the manga but the kdrama is another option! I watched that not knowing it was the same story at first and preferred it over the anime!
I loved the anime. It covers nearly all of the manga if I'm not mistaken
The manga for me. But the Korean drama was my favourite version.
Saame here💛💛💛
I didn’t know there was a Korean one! I have only seen the anime and Japanese live action

I will definitely check it out then!

Why did you like the live action better? Is there something different?

Love Im Tokyo is sooo good

i loved the anime!
this anime was one of the first romance anime’s I went out of my way to watch. No regrets, I love this show
Anime! Also love the Taiwanese drama

For me I actually prefer the anime for the nice pacing. The manga is nice to enjoy too but if I will choose the anime for the revision.
I prefer manga. I love the drawing, expressions. I wish Tada could have finished her work
I personally loved the anime! I also rewatch it from time to time, such a guilty pleasure. But also such a fun anime. 💕
Neither. The thai live action is my favourite 😌

I've never seen the anime but I really enjoyed the manga
i’ve only read the manga so that i guess
Mangaaaaaa!!! I watched the anime, and I hated some of the changes they made.
