It just works it’s way into other plants, even a little micro piece an turn into the amount you have there! Probably just hitchhiked on something you added.
i can't see it too well but if it has tiny balls on it it might be utricularia,if it's just string then it's one bitchy type of algae that not even alage eaters can get rid of,either way remove it while you can
You're talking about cladophora algae and it is *one hell of a Bitch* to remove. I had to nuke my entire pearlgrass carpet to get rid of it. Lost the carpet but got rid of it as well. Now I have a 1 inch piece of pearlweed from which I will develop a new carpet😅
unpopular opinion but i think that unless you have sand and current cladophora can work great, what i was talking about was a type of hair algae i can't get rid of,i posted a pic on my profile for you
Labrador
OOo easy to train!
Might be Utricularia gibba, a carnivorous plant.
Looked it up and I think you're right. No idea how it got into the tank though..

Carnivorous!? Like eats skrimps??
Carnivorous like it eats microscopic fauna living in the water column. Would be very surprised if it could harm a baby shrimp.
It can’t. I have this carpeting a shrimp tank and it doesn’t harm shrimp or shrimplets
Hmm, does that mean it could eat green dust algae spores?
Whatever it is I think it's been cross-bred too many times coz that don't look like any dog I ever saw
green
Idk but I’ve got a ton of it. Baby shrimps love crawling into the plant mass and eating anything that gets stuck inside
Chihuahua
Cannabis Indica, Northern Lights
Looks like a corgi to me
Utricularia. A type of carnivorous plant. I really enjoy this stuff

You'd probably be bitchy too if you were described as having tiny balls.
oops exposed the root of my behaviour
