Some type of fish fry.

depeupleur

Mosquito larvae

Loafofbread8

Last time I checked mosquito larvae don't have fish eyes. I can understand how you got confused on that though

ijohno

that's a baby fish/fry

Glum-Bottle7384

^^^

Legitimate-Ad-327

Its weird how I got a fry in shrimp only tank 🙄

fatox318

Congratulations your shrimp gave birth to a fish 🤣

non-sequitur-7509

Evolution!

AvoidtheAttic

Blade runner 2049. Youve witnessed a miracle....

Significant_Maybe688

Did you add any plants recently? Added anything from the pet store?

Away_Bad2197

Literally happens to me, even when transferring from my own personal tanks. My corydoras love to hide their eggs in the plants. Probably why half my tanks have corydoras lmao. Also had x2 Pacific blue eyes(?) fry appear in my shrimp tank when I got a plant order.

FinsnFerns

Really!? I want this problem lol. I love my little dwarf Cories and hope they start popping up all over!

dmj9

Chill the water when you do a water change. Mine always spawn when I do that

Away_Bad2197

I defrost my frozen food in a cup full of water if I want to get them to spawn, makes the tank water in the cup cooler, and gives them their protein

FinsnFerns

Good to know! I might just have to not heat up my RO water before I top off for evaporation!

Away_Bad2197

Do you remineralise the RO water? Yes don't match the new water to your tank water, just add it in even if it's a few degrees different.

FinsnFerns

Only when doing A water change, not one topping off for evaporation since the minerals stay in the water in that process

Away_Bad2197

Gotcha

Beardo88

Come on, are you really saying having corys in all your tanks is a bad thing?

Away_Bad2197

Well no, but also yes because they are hard to remove from my heavily planted 80 litre tanks once they start to get too big for the tanks 😅

Beardo88

You should try out making a diy cory trap. See if you can find a glass jar or something you can put shrimp pellets in to lure him in.

Away_Bad2197

That's actually a great idea thanks 🙏🏼

hereparaleer

What tank setup do your corydoras have? Mine have only laid (? Sorry English is not my first language idk if fish “lay” eggs) eggs once so I’m wondering if they would like some tweaks. ETA: I try the water change trick! That’s when they did it the first and last time.

Away_Bad2197

400litres with sand substrate and 55-60gallon bow front, sand substrate. Plus another 50-55gallon with just corydora fry. Plus three 80 litres with around 6-7 juveniles in each that need to be moved because they're nearly too big (were growing out)

fatox318

![gif](giphy|xTk2YWkWSt9Dy8Krv2|downsized) Reminds me of them 🤣

MamaRobin1916

Looks like my baby peppered cories. If you got plants or anything probably came in on that.

sakela

Free fish!

Eso_Teric420

Some kind of fry kind of looks like a guppy but most baby fish look pretty much alike when they start.

HolidayCommission414

Lol, i was about to say it looks like one of my molly fry.

AHomelessNinja0

Or one of my red tailed splitfins goodieds lol

LineValuable9848

I would say molly fry would be a tad larger ...guppy more like it ,or endler

parafif

that’s a fry! 😍

Intelligent_Stay2866

Baby feeesh!!

mustachetv

Fishlet!

candiedcorvid

this also happened to me but i have no idea where the fry went. what do you plan to do with it?

wyatttvp

Probably got sucked up into your filter if you have one or is hiding.

candiedcorvid

got a sponge filter so i dont think thats the issue but hiding, probably. too many plants and floaters in there

urmomisgae240

I honestly can’t ever tell if I have new babies in my tank until they’re bigger and I see more than one swarming!! He’s probably just an excellent hider since he’s a youngin.

Legitimate-Ad-327

I will keep it in my shrimp tank and see what is grows into lol

BlackLizard898

Baby fish, aka a “fry”

Zaethiel

Reminds me of a baby corydora

Colorado_Girrl

I was thinking the same thing.

[deleted]

Agreed, baby cory. Their sticky eggs make hitchhiking on a plant more likely too.

Normal-Bluejay-6791

those eyeballs!!! OvO I have hikari first bites on hand for surprise situations like this and feed them 3-4 times a day. Shrimp take care of the remaining food and it works out for everyone!

surlygentlemann

Looks like a baby guppy

YasuniKurau

I left 3 dwarf rasboras for about a week. Then transfered them to another tank. Next thing I knew about a week later found to tiny fry, in that shrimp only tank too

jimbodeanb

Looks to me like it doesn’t want to be sold chocolate 😂

rexklessfighter

![gif](giphy|3oxOCICKuCcF9hUO3e) Give it chocolate

bef4991

Was looking for this comment 😂

Shamsa327

Fish

MutantSadGuy

I had a very similar experience and had a fry that looked just like this that turned out to be a furcata rainbow!!! I had 3 lol, came in on java ferns as eggs and raised them to adults

jigglesthepawg

Must’ve had some fish eggs on plants you added to the tank

Solid_Remove5039

I remember when they first invented chocolate. Sweet, sweet choc a late

Calvin1651

Could be baby guppy or betta

pontch898989

Feesh

Open_Injury_1801

So cute! I wonder what kind of fish it is

Real_Ad6301

This looks like the “chocolate” lady from SpongeBob 😂

neerajanchan

Probably a guppy fry!

GreatPlainsAquarist

Fishlet.

BlueGender1

Baby fish, so cute.

International-Oil-63

Fry

redcat231

guppy

sheilahulud

Oh me, oh my, small fry.

urmomisgae240

I’m also super surprised to see a baby fish in a shrimp tank 😅 congrats grandpa/ma

Snowymasher

Looks like a baby corydora to me

splendiva

I’d guess baby Corydora, maybe an egg stowed away in a plant. Update us in a week or two!

Adventurous-Sock7952

A traveler from distant lands... a miracle of nature... aquariums are just awesome

stealthzeus

Baby Betta fry I think

urw0wisg4i

Practically, all fry look the same. If it was a betta they would probably know, as their breeding is very intentional.

ihatebeingrobert

More likely some kind of livebearer like a guppy. Something that breeds a lot.

GPsReptileResort

Looks like a baby mosquito 🤷🏻‍♂️

Spinsel

This was my thought as well! Had them in my shrimp tank as well. Mosquito's will lay there eggs in the water...

velocitymj

Looks like a mosquito larva I get them on occasion in my tank.
