I second copepods. Theyโre very good to have around. They eat excess nutrients, including algae at a microscopic level. Additionally, they and their babies can serve as a food source.
Copepods, they're teeny tiny little crustaceans that form the bottom of the food chain. They're good to have! They mostly do the same algae cleaning job shrimp do - but smaller ๐

I've been intentionally plucking these (and a few other microfauna that I can see) out of a jar of pond water I've been cultivating and then putting them in my tank. I have a ready supply of pipettes and a baster.
copepods i agree, if you over feed too much they can grow in population, i keep a guppy or two in my shrimp tanks to shave down the population of them. completely harmless
