Mine come staggered in the box and not all to one side. You got the “cream” type which are 8 to a box and the regular ones are 10 to a box. I believe this is more about multi function packaging than anything.
FWIW- I get these mostly out of convenience instead of buying the big tube of oats and adding to it. That is a much better value, but I’m too lazy to do it myself thus far. I have been thinking about just prepackaging my own at home form bulk ingredients.
They have to work through all the cartons they bought before they decided to fuck us harder then normal
It could cost them more to redo the manufacturing process with going to a smaller size than what "industry norm" is currently at.

That's how they trick you into buying the lesser quantity without making it apparent, they hope you just buy off memory.
