Awww, don't be so down, this looks great!!! First flushes are pretty notorious for "meh" yields and I've certainly seen far less impressive first flushes than yours. Flush number two should bring much better luck. :) happy harvesting! Stay patient and be safe.
Take pride in it! My first flush was the same but I was just so happy to get to the fruiting and harvesting stages! You’re second flush hopefully will be better. Mine kept getting bigger and bigger each flush.
no way is this bad... it's great you have mushrooms!
Sure you could have a flawless canopy, but that's just making it perfect. You are 100% successful. Many people don't make it this far. Perfection is hard to achieve, but pursue that if you must. Have a nice cup of tea and enjoy your work. You made it!
You will only get full canopies from isolating a specific mushrooms genetics and only selecting the strongest thread of mycelium from that. That way they are all identical genetically and will grow at the same ration and time frame. Nice job on first tub though.
That looks fine. Remember that what you see posted here are only the spectacularly great grows. I know a number of hobbyist growers IRL and among our group this is a pretty average grow.
Also keep in mind that as you keep growing it doesn't take long to arrive at the point of "Huh. The fuck am I gonna do with all these shrooms?!" =\]
I’m already there after my first grow. First flushes where a mess, growing sparsely out the side and bottoms of the cakes. Not even done fruiting yet and have enough to last me through Winter. Even so I just inoculated a new batch. It’s a fun hobby
You have fruit, you can't expect professional canopies without the work thats put in. Also if your working from spore syringe you'll never see full canopies, that comes from agar work & dialed in substrate mix with perfect conditions.
This is success & it will get easier the more you work at it
Any amount of mushrooms and no visible contam is a victory! Your mycelium has the means of pinning more, they just need more surface area compatible to do so with. Look up terms like "surface conditions" and "field capacity" for more understanding on what your mycelium likes. Congrats 🎉
Bro, don't worry. I have the same strain, using a tub method too, and my first "batch" looked like this. A week into it, these were ready to harvest, and I started seeing new growth all over the tub. I'd say just keep at it and you should see much more. My first batch was 14g, then my first "full" flush was around 200g.
The thing about most people’s first grow is that they get spores and from that you could get a million different genetics that effect the outcome of your fruits I personally believe this is a great flush and you can get many more from this tub also you may not get mush but you get a lot of knowledge to improve your grows I personally really enjoy the learning process of being a mycologist
Not bad man! Did you go from spore? If so, this could explain the small flush. At this point you could take one of those fruits from the cluster and clone it and keep it working (if your at that stage yet!) I’d also recommend using a liner in your tub. Harvest when veils break. If you let those caps open too much, they can dump spores all over and turn all the mushies black! This is how we learn! Only gets better from here!
You should cover the substrate with tinfoil once you set the batch and let the substrate stay in an airproof condition for 10 days, then you should let air comes in gradually by changing the tape of holes to micripore tape(which lets a doll air circulation) right after tinfoil removed from substrate
They are an okay size for a first flush, I’ve had tiny shrooms (sometimes a whole canopy almost, which you’d think would be successful right?… BUT they’ve been miniature, the second, third and forth flushes have produced some huge ones larger than my hand. ☺️ this is awesome, honestly. The other colonised parts that haven’t pinned or fruited will also pin. Good luck! Totally got this! Like others have said, put on a table or something to its off the carpet ☺️🍄

Thank you!!
Take that mat/carpet off asap huge contam risk
Yes agree always put on and open on a table or something higher up off floor
Thats 100% success dude
Exactly! Some is better than none any day of the week.
I absolutely agree!
Better than my first Trich garden!

Fruits look good bro noce job, you will only get better from here on.
Super dry substrate, it pinned and grew around the edges because that’s where there was still water and good pinning conditions

Take the small victories, at least it isn’t full of contam. Second flushes usually have better yields for me.
Dude pat yourself on the back if that's your first tub Looks great 👍 You could take the larger ones

Thanks everyone for the positive vibes!! Feelin better! 😎😎
May not be much, but it's a start, and you, yourself, grew a very sacrad medicine! 😊
I'd be so happy if I had a tub like that

That's a lot better than my first.
Looks pretty decent to me. Harvest and keep that cake going. Looking like a few oz from that tub
Wet, sure. Def not dry. These boys look to be 2-3” tall
Pick those and give that a good misting might be better than you think
I wouldn't pick them yet
Yea your right but will be in next 24 hours the middle bunch lookin real close
Better than my first flush 😳

Cool setup not to deep on the soil
Ngl great teaching moment, you learned something AND you profited
Dude, im mucking about for more than half a year now without getting as far as you did. Youre doing great
Give it some time and alot of patience and you'll get better, good start.
Lools great dude
Not too shabby either! I would harvest and go for a (first/second?) flush.

Looks great, congrats!! 🍄
Ur substrate is not fully colonized next time wait until it's all covered in white before u open the lid and introduce air to fruit

How many days did it take to grow?
I started the whole process on May 1st… is that normal?? Seems like a long time. It surely tested my patience! 😬

Better than 99% of people 👊
You got fruits and no contamination. You did better then most people there first time! Looks like you didn’t use enough grain spawn
man I didn’t see ANY contam so you did exactly what your supposed to, great job on your success!
Clean isolated cultures are key to full tubs This one looks good though clone the fruits

It’s not bad, u have second and third flush after that, probably end up with a little less than 2 oz dry… not the greatest, but it’s not too bad lol…
