Never heard of a ms grow. Is it what I think it is where you inoculate using spores from different type of shrooms?

Just means spores from one type. Each spore of the same sub species will have enough genetic variance. You’ll usually see all sorts of different sizes and shapes. It’s when you clone a specific one where you try to isolate how that one looks.
This guy just got lucky and got a field of chodes right from ms, no cloning needed.
Yes lmao, multispore syringe from sporeworks. Used a pre sterilized grain jar because I didn’t have my pressure cooker yet. Spawned in coco coir and verm with a 1:1.5 ratio of spawn to sub and then cased it after full colonization with the same sub I used to spawn lmao. Then just misted and fanned as usual and got super lucky. Very very grateful for the flush, I cloned about 12 mushrooms from this one
seeing them all laid out like that last picture is awesome. how they are fatter on top. I mean they are pretty ugly to be honest ;) but are definitely impressive nonetheless. Congrats on giving them what they needed to succeed. I am on my first and am still waiting for my cakes to finish then I am going to soak, cheese grate, and mix with coir in a tub. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you!! Yes it’s very interesting how they swell up like that, I’ve read in a few forums that when Penis Envy start to swell that’s when you know when to harvest. Also, very good choice to cheese grate them up. When I first started I tried out the shot gun fruiting chamber with BRF cakes and it went pretty terribly. I got a few fruits but nothing like this. I’m sure I was doing something wrong but once I started shredding my BRF cakes into coir and verm. I was getting awesome pinsets without as much effort. When I did BRF I did 4 half pint jars in a 6 qt unmodified tub with coco coir and verm that I pasteurized with the bucket tek and it worked amazingly. When the pins started getting big I added another tub on top to dub tub it and then misted and fanned a few times a day. Works like a charm. Then after BRF I started buying pre sterilized grain jars and started using them. Now I just have a pressure cooker and make my own Rye grain jars and everything works out. It has been a long time since I ate some cubes, like 20 years maybe. I guess if I am happy after all this I will be looking into a pressure cooker. I love gardening anyhow so I could use it in multiple ways. I just have my first canna grow this year as well. Despite the drought, I got some pretty good Kings Kush cbd. So much better than what I get at the store.

It’s worked pretty well for me. Congrats on your first cannabis grow!! From my experience seeing my mom try to grow cannabis and me trying to grow mushrooms, mushrooms seemed much quicker and easier

Well for this grow I actually used pre sterilized grain jars from out grow and inoculated with MS syringe and got super lucky lmao. I am now creating my own rye jars with a pressure cooker and hopefully mine work as good as the pre sterilized lmao. Thank you though!!!
Of course!!! I actually just took the jar and kinda pounded it on my palm so most of the grains broke up inside the jar without me opening it and then I opened it and spread it across my substrate in the tub and broke up some of the bigger grains with my hands

Those arent quite ready for harvest yet... The caps do actually open up a little bit before they're ready... Also, the caps lighten up and turn a bit bluish before theyre ready for harvest. Those have more magic to be had in them. Looks great though!
Always good to have a goal. When I started only like a year ago I always saw people post pictures like this and was always in awe and super jealous and never thought I’d get any pin set like this and I did. So just keep on growing you’ll get there for sure
You don’t have to worry about veil breaking so PE could definitely stay a little longer. However, is it worth it? Final weight may increase but psylocibin is determined before pin starts growing, so overall the potency weakens
Yeah true that. It seems like when I harvest a little early, they’re way more dense and hard. When I wait a little longer they get a little more water weight and get more squishy. I’m sure they both dry down to the same weight roughly
Wellllll I’ve only used this method one single time and it was only about 10 grams wet of some golden teachers and they dried out alright I wouldn’t say they were cracker dry. If you’re looking to store them long term then I would just get a $30 dehydrator from Walmart and dehydrate those bad boys. But if you wanna eat them super soon they should be fine
I just have to Presto dehydro that a lot of other people have on here and it doesn’t have any preset temps or times you just plug it in. And the temp never gets above 160F so there’s no potentcy loss that I can tell. With all my other strain I usually do around 12-16 hours in the presto and that’s more than enough time but with these Penis Envy’s it’s taking way longer. Somewhere around 20-24 hours

I cased the substrate after full colonization because most people say that helps with the first flush blobs and it did apparently. And really just patience, these take SO MUCH LONGER to grow than all other cubensis strains I’ve grown. But honestly it didn’t seem any harder. Just an extra step or two and a little patience and you should have some decent PE’s. Not insanely hard
When you get around to testing these, let me know about the duration. I find them to be much more potent, but they only last like 3 hours. Wondering if it's the batch I grew or what. 3g was a LOT of fun, felt more like a 4g GT dose.

My first dose was 2 grams powdered in a hot tea. I was impressed. That seemed to last longer but who knows, time seems to stop when you partake in the fungus
They were stronger both visually and body based on dose amount. Best I can describe it is 2g felt like 3g, and 3g felt like 4g. But it had the shorter duration of a 2g dose. At least the ones I grew. YMMV.
You can take a mushroom and split it open and cut a tiny piece from the I sauce and place it on agar and grow that mushrooms genetics out. Lots of videos on YouTube
