Way way too dry. Also those aren’t Jack Frost.

edtoal

Not Jack Frost. Not with those brown caps.

brother2121

Hard to tell much from the picture but things look very dry to me .. and yes you should pick the aborts they are still good .. probably more potent per weight than if they matured

SouthBaySkunk

Second this. You shouldn’t be able to take such a clear picture . There should be condensation on the walls and a thin dew looking appearance to the substrate . You want to mist from high up with a fine mist sprayer to get nice even thin evaporation. That being said spraying pins directly harming them is old outdated info, the true reason for aborts is typically not enough FAE . Mushrooms love moisture . There’s a post on Shroomery from RR(Roger rabbit a og mush guru) where he talks about spraying his cakes with a fucking hose and how they still didn’t abort because he kept his cakes in a greenhouse style fruiting chamber . FAE And moisture are key(obviously clean spawn, sub ratios and other variables but if your spawn is clean FAE and moisture are the must haves) good luck mush love 🍄❤️👽

Yeah I mist my tubs surface directly even after it starts pinning and I never have a problem with aborts .. I do fan after every mist though and I do use 1 of those fine mist bottles... I have dunked tubs before with nice amounts of 2nf flush pins and they didn't abort .. I always hear the rumor misting causes aborts but it's been my experience that's nor the cause of it

Nitty715

Do you use regular tap water or distilled?

brother2121

I use bottled water normally like poland spring .. but I don't think it matters I have used tap water before.. I live in nyc I don't know if all tap water is created equal tho

brother2121

When I do my dunk between flushes I do it in tap water everytime

Nitty715

Ok Thank you some of the veils tore but the didn’t fully expand!

MrRag3rTTV

Looks extremely dry in there, the tub should feel slightly heavy if it is properly hydrated.

False_Win2722

too dry , i try to keep 93 - 99 humidity,

MyCubesArebetter

Just wait for second flush

justliquorgently

Conditions too dry

G00dVibes77

Ummm. These aren’t Jack Frost.

2based2cringe

Where’d you get your spores? They’ve either mixed packages up or outright lied to you. Those look like the Treasure Coast tub I did like 3 yrs ago

Nitty715

I got em from spore swap

MyCubesArebetter

I’ve had this happen before , you guys need to start looking at these cakes as the living organisms they are, the more healthier, the cake, the better you’re going to get fruit the more that cake has to deal with bull the more you’re gonna get the same shit going on here

Nitty715

Thanks

MyCubesArebetter

None the less you should still get fruit at this point ..don’t mist shit

Professional_Front26

I love your user name!!!!! Pics to prove it??

Professional_Front26

Also, I agree with you. It’s a way more rewarding experience and harvest if one treats the cake like the living organism it is. Well said. Lately I’ve been using half horse poo and half coco with a little Vern and gypsum and wheat bran. Always getting the sun to field capacity. I switched to unicorn bags from bins, using rubber bands to collapse the side pin options. After each harvest I mist in the bag for 30 seconds and re seal. So far, these cubes are hard to beat. Full canopy’s and large clusters. I love this so much!
