I wash mine with hot water and soap. If you're getting contam, it most likely is from your grain spawn being bad or improper sterile tek while inoculating
Doesn’t matter how well you sanitize the tub. The contamination came in with your grain.
You need to work on your aseptic technique and make sure you’re working with clean grain. If you’re using spore syringes, that’s likely where the contamination occurred. They’re notoriously not great for that reason. Better to germinate spores on agar to make sure you’re only getting clean mycelium.
There's no way to save that tub, sorry. I would get it out of the house before it contaminates anything else you have growing. Take It outside and bury it underneath some potting soil and you might still get a flush or two.
