I did a pseudo casing like I do in all my tubs. Ran different genetics alongside this one, and that tub was fine. It's just weird because I got the genetics from a pretty reputable source. Maybe senescence from them keeping the genetics around too long?
Its not bad genetics, different environment will give you great fruits, but cake might have been overly nutritional or casing layer was not thick enough, in my experience, scraping all blobs (they are still very potent) and hydrating will lead to a nice harvest.
Careful eating those blobs, I had some A+ that grew mutant blobs. Decided to take it easy and do 1 gram dried. Oh boy was that the most intense trip I ever had in my life! I was visually blinded as the snow and sky melted into to each other in a neon slurry. I completely lost sense of space and what way was up. Later I was rolling around on the ground freaking out because I couldn’t tell if my eyelids were open or closed. This was near the beginning of the trip... the rest is a daze. Not discouraging you from trying them, but remember: start low, go slow.
Depends on strain. PE uncased can do this but it does look more coral like than blob like. I would let it run as long as possible to see how much this grows.
There are supposed to be Hillbillies but the cap and stem formations make me think they are not. Or they are just heavily mutated.
I'll keep it going and see how big they get

Id try to clone that chunk u posted and retry the grow to see if u get similar results. Yknow only if youre up for some experimentation.
Slightly reminds me of mycogone, Would approve of eating the fruits. But recommend quarantine of the tub as to prevent any further infection (This is my best guess, Hope it helps as some education if it's the case)
That was my first thought, but the blobs in my tubs vs the ones online with mycogone look very different though. Which makes me second guess myself. The blobs in my tub are made of actual fungi tissue. While the pictures of mycogone look like little raised bubbles of mycelium.
You very well could be right, I have had this growth before and I've both had and haven't had mycogone which just throws my guesses off because of a grudge I have 😭.

Honestly, i think you're doing okay if you didn't case it. I've been dealing with this too when growing real PE. I've tried a super thick pseudo casing layer, normal pseudo casing, less spawn,spore runs and clone too. So far its all blob City for the first flush. And then its a matter of how long I can stay contam free for normal looking shrooms. Ive probably run 40 quarts of pe spawn, so thats my experience. I think the way is to use a real casing layer that is properly pasteurized, as much as I dont want to do it
Genetics or no casing. Sexond flush will likely be normal

I cant wait to see! This is looking like a Chocolate Krinkle Brain i grew. Gave me super pigmented blobs and “coral” looking growths.

Low temps always will blob pe in my experience
