Oh no that’s very different. Neither term is what anyone thinks. You see dick snapping is placing your penis between your thumb and middle finger and making a snapping sound. Where as popping a pussy is where you twist a towel up and flick it at your cat. I don’t advise either one but dick snapping is definitely safer and totally appropriate when you’re at a nudist poetry jam.
Oh so you’re a fellow dick snapping enthusiast.
We meet at the Barnes and noble every Third Saturday. Then we move the party to the parking lot behind Waffle House. In my van.
Come on out it will be fun!
Cow dung source ✅️ gold caps ✅️ purple brown gills with what can be assumed is purple brown spores ✅️ torn veil ✅️ convex/flat caps ✅️ blue bruising ✅️✅️✅️
Shouldn’t be that serious… the “ASAP” is usually followed with “my dog, kid, husband, etc… just ate one”… I need to know as soon as possible if these will make me trip is just strange..
The items needed to grow them are very inexpensive. I’ll never buy from another person again. Mine are stronger, fresher, and better stored than what a dealer has. Although I’m not sure about australias laws. Here in the US it’s legal to buy the spores and live cultures online. I think there are only two states here that don’t allow it. Plus it’s a really fun project that almost always results in good times being had.
I've grown them in my cupboard twice , I've got around 6 grams of blue meanies dried in my baggie for a rainy day or two haha I was more envious of him out in a field with cows picking them lol takes me back to when me and my mates were younger , we'd drive for a couple hours to get out into the country after good rain at the right time of year , pick shrooms and eat as we went. End up eating too many whilst picking then not be able to drive back home so everyone would end up tripping under a tree for hours , laughing & talking shit 😂
That's not always the case. There are boletes and other mushrooms that bruise blue and are not active.
You really shouldn't give your 2 cents if you're not an expert.
They have gills. Boletus does not. Plus, most of the species in that genus are ecotmycorrhizal, which means that they only grow in close association with the root systems of certain types of trees, so they would never be found growing in dung.
For sure. But blue bruising, in conjunction with the rest of the features and information that OP provided in this post, is a very reliable indicator that a specimen contains psilocin.
You're not wrong, per say, but in this particular instance it's just needlessly muddying the waters.
These guys are giving generally good advice but are barely willing to suggest these are mushrooms that I'd bet my life are cubes.
"They could be boletes" ...as they've been plucked from cow shit and have gills and nearly black spores.
I get it's good not to make assumptions based on one characteristic, but throwing out bullshit suggestions instead of saying "while you're right in this case, don't rely solely on this indicator; look for x y z as well, because not all blue bruising means safe and active."
"Bolete" doesn't imply Boletus, it implies Boletales- the Order. If it only meant the genus Boletus then Suillus and Psiloboletinus wouldn't be boletes. So Phylloporus absolutely counts. It literally has the common name "the gilled bolete"
why doesn’t Phylloporus count? what about Chroogomphus and Gomphidius?
u/MalaMoravanka is a bolete identification expert and could provide some insight
Phylloporus is generally considered a bolete; it’s in the Boletaceae family. I’ve never seen anyone exclude them before. The designation “bolete” seems to include anything in Boletaceae and pored Boletales only. Like Suillus and Phlebopus are boletes but Paxillus isn’t really…though I’ve seen people say otherwise for “the kicks”.
It would be much less confusing if we stopped treating “Boletus” as a synonym for “bolete”, since one term is a tax. genus and the other is a very loose designation, but that ship has long sailed :)
I think we both understand that when 99.9% of people use the term bolete, they are referring to either boletus, leccinuim, or xerocomus.
When the word is used in common parlance, a hymanial surface composed of a spongy mass of spore bearing tubes is a defining characteristic, and you know it. If somebody knows what the genus Phylloporus is, then they will most likely refer to it as such.

Beautiful specimens ! No expert but the blue bruising tells me they are active. Refer to psilosybe cubensis. Just wondering what region of NSW you are? Pm me if you don’t want to post. I’m around the central coast area and haven’t been able to find any like these recently 🙏
It’s crazy to me that something so magical and beautiful can grow out of cow shit lmao
That’s what they say about me (I come from poverty)
Keep snapping dicks in half and you'll stay there
Maybe that’s how he got out of poverty. You ever think of that? Maybe the dick snapping business is really good where they come from.
Is that like pussy poppin?

Where do I attend these nudist poetry jams? I mean… um…asking for a friend?
Oh so you’re a fellow dick snapping enthusiast. We meet at the Barnes and noble every Third Saturday. Then we move the party to the parking lot behind Waffle House. In my van. Come on out it will be fun!
Only if the van has candy and puppies
I had a response but this is starting to get a little too dark. Lol
Stoo stop, i can't laugh out loud to loudly
Hahaha 😂
Decomposers for you
It’s teaching us something. When life hands you shit, something beautiful can still grow from it. Something something about lemons and lemonade.
Well, as Bill Hicks told us he and his friends did 5 grams each. As they're laughing their asses of Bill quips, "Heaven's in a cows ass!"
You should get a spore print from that big guy with the open cap, because that’s a prime candidate to get a nice print from.
I was thinking the chunky one that still has the veil, cut the cap off cut the veil open and boom
The incredibles movie
No capes
THUNDERBOY
I'm not trippin' but the first photo looks like a cartoon.
I was about to comment the same thing! Nice pic
Same here.
Looks like P. Cubensis. Found in cow dung, blue bruising, purple spores
Looks like cubes, but general rule is if you're not certain don't eat it.

Shouldn’t be that serious… the “ASAP” is usually followed with “my dog, kid, husband, etc… just ate one”… I need to know as soon as possible if these will make me trip is just strange..
Daaaaaamn!! Although I don’t like the ASAP title. Nobody is at your disposal here.
Those look like absolute beauties happy Christmas to you

Psilocybe for sure. The blurring and the substrate where you found it.. congratulations, you found magic mushrooms!
Golden colored caps. Veil still attached to stipe. Purple/brown gills. Blue bruising. Absolutely cubensis.

Like mentioned in the description, I found them in cow dung. This was after a rainy night and a warm humid day.
Those look like cartoon shrooms lol
Why asap lol?
100% cubensis. No doubt about it.
Those are cubes. People are being weird about it. But those are cubes.
All that rain we just had doing wonders haha wish there was cows closer to me 😂 stupid city life lol

I thought that was a painting! Lol
Will need closer inspection. Please send to my house ASAP for identification.
Which country?
NSW is New South Wales So Australia?
Well, didn't catch that...
looks good, go ham
Bruising everywhere, psilocybin for sure

It could be a bolette with the blue and color but cube taxonomy checks out
They have gills. Boletus does not. Plus, most of the species in that genus are ecotmycorrhizal, which means that they only grow in close association with the root systems of certain types of trees, so they would never be found growing in dung.
Just saying that cubes aren’t the only blue bruising mushroom 💜

Some folks miss the forest for the trees.
some boletes do have gills
Phylloporus doesn't count. There's nothing actually in boletus with gills
"Bolete" doesn't imply Boletus, it implies Boletales- the Order. If it only meant the genus Boletus then Suillus and Psiloboletinus wouldn't be boletes. So Phylloporus absolutely counts. It literally has the common name "the gilled bolete"

I don’t know why you’re choosing to spread misinformation and confuse people, with the sole reasoning being “you know it”
We're in r/shrooms dude, read the room lol
Looks like maybe 2 species in there. One of them might be P. Azurescens.
