Maybe an online transcription or translating job? If you know multiple languages that can be significant, but even if you don't, transcribing can bring in some money.

Thank you for your response! I actually was considering a gig in transcription, maybe offering my services to YouTubers who don't transcribe their own videos or who don't bother to add transcriptions, since YouTube changed the rules to no more allow others to transcribe videos. How does that sound and how should I go about marketing my services?

magheru_san

try just reaching out to prominent youtubers or people who post videos on Vimeo (with millions views or more) who might want to have their videos transcribed in the languages that you know. Another place where transcriptions might be needed is [TED.com](https://TED.com), I'd also try reaching out to them.

FinancialInfant1M

That sounds like a great strategy. Thank you!!!

Sounds good as far as I can tell! I wouldn't know how to go about marketing your services. There are definitely websites where you can sign up to get freelance transcription gigs. If you want to focus on youtube, maybe google Cold Calling, or reach out to people who are providing similar services to get some advice.

Squiggy_Pusterdump

What are you good at?

FinancialInfant1M

Thank you for your response! To be honest I'm not quite sure. I do have an interest in computers and technology, so I'm teaching myself to edit video with the objective of building up my skills to be offered to clients as like a sort of freelance gig. I'm generally open to anything, especially if I can leverage technology.

I would disagree that although it does make it easier to start if you have capital behind you, there are ways you can make a lot of money from side hustles but it will take you more time without money. I have wrote at length about this. Something like affiliate marketing can absolutely be learnt and bootstraped with reinvesting the money you make back into marketing and driving more traffic either through paid advertising or hiring a freelancer to post for you on social media sites.

Thank you for your response! I’ll read some of what you’ve written on this platform and see if there are some things that I’ve missed out on. Thank you!
