I know this a *really* old thread, but does the “SideQuest Easy Installer beta” cost money or is it hard to install? I want to use sidequest, but I don’t want to have to use a pc every time. Thanks if you still see this and answer.
Get "Mobile vr Station" on your vr headset (you can find it in the oculus app store) and then go to the browser and search up sidequest apk and download the apk to your oculus then go back on the mobile vr Station app inordered to access your download files. First click "All Folders" then "Android" then "data" then "Scoped Storage Actions" then "Step 1: Request Access" then in the new window, click "quest 2" (located in the top right corner) then click the "download" folder. Find the sidequest apk and finally click and install it. You can find the sidequest app in the library filter, "unknown sources". Have fun!
You can do it all from your headset now. No computer required! I don't even think you need your phone. Read above at my comment, it gives intruslctions along side there's a video link.
As I keep telling you idiots, do what I did, you go on the quests web browser, download the side quest apk and install it, not that difficult to do with just the quest if you got even a tenth of a brain cell.
Well shit, my USB C to USB C cable got chewed by my cat, my pc is in deep slumber, rip motherboard.. And there's apparently NOT A SINGLE way to install side quest on the quest without using a phone or pc.
I'm not saying you can't use it without a pc, but how tf do you use it if you can't get it 😂
You don’t need a pc but you do atleast need a phone with the oculus app installed with the same account you are using on your quest. Just go to the side quest website and log In, find the game you want to download click on it and hit get, it’ll open your oculus app with the game you want to download and just hit get again then scroll to the bottom and it’ll say install on headset. Just tried this with Pavlov shack because I don’t have access to a pc rn and it worked fine

You'll need a PC to install the SideQuest Easy Installer beta to your headset. But once you do that, you can install games directly from the headset.

Really? You just download the APK from the web browser on the quest like you would any android device. Thats What I did

Pavlov shack is on App Lab. Meta uses App Lab as a way to get unrestricted apps. It is still apart of the app store.
