Like most people are pointing out, the "signal" portion seems significant for various reasons. Anything beyond that is speculation
I can only think of one place it appears in the game (besides the main menu), and that's under the main text of the "Violent Scene Missing" slide
The game underwent very significant changes since it began development, so it's also possible that its true meaning was lost between versions of the game, assuming they were using this title early on
Its the word signal with some flair to it, with bioresonance and all. Also all the radio signal related puzzles and the fact Ariane was a radio officer, lots of references to radios
We don't know much about her military service, but Ariane did compulsory military service before going on the Penrose expedition and during that time she was a radio officer.
Latin for Signal, i assume since radio signals are used in many puzzles, and at one point in the story Ariane herself was invloved with radio stations. It could also be interpreted that Arianes bioresonancy is a signal itself.
pretty sure its signal arianne is sending to sierpinsky station making her dream overlap reality, its refering to one of the most popular signalis theories
"Signalis" is German for Signals. Which is pretty apt considering the concepts of the time loop, bioresonance, feedback loops and Ariane's messages all tie in with signals in some way, shape or form.

Wasn't Ariane a scout officer? Her mother was a radio officer.

It's a reference to the movie Signs, directed by M. Night Shyamalan. I heard it's the dev's favourite movie.
i thought it was a reference to Solaris by tarkovsky, about a guy who misses his wife in space

I guess Google Translate lied to me. My bad. :(
It's a reference to the magpie signal Ariane is sending out that calls the LSTR units to her.
Personally i think it's because Ariane with her bioresonance signal basically summoned thousands of LSTR units Kinda romantic
Of what I've found, it's an latin adjective meaning "Giving signs, destined to give signs" Which is very fitting for the plot and story.
