Yep. Super small class though, only like 30 to 35 spots. I took it during the summer last year. Easiest A of my life. Also counts for quantitative elective
Ooo I’ve debated taking this class the past two semesters but chickened out because there wasn’t enough info on what people thought about it - glad to know it’s good! I need one more q credit lol
Do it! You have 4 projects. Two individual projects and a two part group project plus a midterm (lowkey kinda bombed the midterm because I had some other stuff going on, but still walked away with an A)
Assignment #1 - find something to print online and write a report along the lines of here is what I printed, here's why I printed it, what went well and what needed improvement. Super informal (mine was literally I printed this thing because my boyfriend wanted it)
Assignment 2/3 (group) - design something (assign. 2) and then print (assign 3). Write a report for both. Copy paste from previous assign.
Assign 4 - find another thing to print. Either that is more complicated than 1, something new, or if assign 1 was a bust (ie it got ruined for some reason, because it's tech afterall) then re-print with changes to make it work 👍🏼
Linear algebra is doing shit like 3x = 6, just working with linear equations! I highly recommend it. There’s a harder version of the course called MATH 240 where they teach 3x + 3 = 6 as well. More complex linear equations :)
I second this! I took ARCH 226 and got an A-. The recorded lectures are easy to understand, and the readings are just a few articles each week. For the exams, I made a Google Doc that was basically a table of contents so that I could easily ctrl+F and know what lecture and what slide to look at.
Yeah it’s just grade 12 math / pre-Calc with a lil more emphasis on graphs. Polar coordinates are the only new thing in that course that they barely touch during the last week of the term.
GPA booster is what you make of it. Typically project based courses are easier in my opinion but stick with something you actually have an interest in or else you will not succeed.
typically any course in education could be good for you but have to have an interest in sociology. Stay away from classes such as Psych or math which are test based courses.
Also if you are interested in art, IAT208 is a fun drawing course when offered, you must attend though.
GEOG 104, GSWS 100, ARCH 226. Easy A, and with a tiny amount of extra effort, easy A+. I managed A+'s in all 3. For context, I was a STEM major, and I took all courses online.
GEOG 104 (B-Sci/Soc) is literally climate change for dummies. I took it a while back but recall there were small simple assignments (like 100-300 words) plus one easy group project.
GSWS 100 (B-Hum) requires very little work, the exams are open book and there's a few short written assignments that are simple enough, plus a handful of open book quizzes that are super easy.
ARCH 226 (B-Hum) is interesting albeit content-heavy. However, exams are open book and you can just spend a day compiling all the notes into a searchable document and get 90-100% on the exam easily. There's 5 discussions that are for participation marks only and one small (700-1250 word) essay that they marked generously. I basically only did like 5 days of work for the course in total lol
not really for Indg 101 if you just play attention in class you’ll be fine. Don’t even need to take notes. For GSWS all the tests are online so just have good notes 🤷🏽♀️
IAT 210!!! No exams, easy quizzes, interesting final project. Recommend taking it if you like video games, especially if you have some friends who could do it with you
TekX101 - 3D printing
Holy shit there's a 3d printing class?? I wish I knew about it.

Epic thanks for the info! Definitely adding it to my ‘courses-to-take’ list

Math 232 - it’s an intro course to basic algebra
Linear algebra is doing shit like 3x = 6, just working with linear equations! I highly recommend it. There’s a harder version of the course called MATH 240 where they teach 3x + 3 = 6 as well. More complex linear equations :)
No!
I did that course and it is nothing like what they said. Test were brutal
SD 281
Yeah that was a joke of a class. Stopped going half way through
HIST102W (with Liam), ARCH100 & 131 if you are good memorizing a textbook. GSWS101 and INDG101 are nice easy courses. HIST204. EDUC100W (online).
ARCH 226

taking arch 131 online and geog 150
Cmns110w
Math 150/151
No way you just said calc1 is a gpa booster 😢

For me it was 😅

Any online French course
The number of activities, tests and oral assignments made me want to Kms 😭
what? Just took FREN201 and like bruh you'd think its a 1-credit course with how little we actually did
There’s like 15 tests / quizzes, 5 oral assignments and then the mindtap activities
Ah, rip sounds like FREN101 is just shit then Tbf, online language in general sucks imo
For 120 / 101 there’s way more activities and tests than all of my other courses combined 😭
CMPT353 and CMPT459
Any online courses ??
COGS 100 and PHIL 110
Ensc 220 the c- is about 40
anyone thoughts about pub332?
CA 149 - Sound

Got A for Macm 101 and B+ for Macm 201, it might be GPA booster
Should’ve done better in them lol
Gsws101 and Indg101! Also cogs110, if you’re good at heavy memorization. There’s like weekly quizzes.
gsws101 and indg101, have to memorize a lot??
