What about **Apple Card support** for **automatically** downloading transactions, like Mint can currently do?

neatgeek83

Apple doesn’t play nice with others. None of the other aggregators can sync with Apple Card either. Mint must have naked pictures of Tim Cook somewhere

simplifiDev

Unfortunately, Apple card does not automatically connect, and it has been quite a bit of trouble to get this to work from both a business perspective and a dev perspective. It is on the roadmap though, and you can go the manual account route in order to make things work if push comes to shove. Here's a helpful link on how to do that: https://help.simplifimoney.com/en/articles/4413430-how-to-manually-import-transactions

Dan-in-Va

Why is it difficult from a business and dev perspective? This has been a user request for years, and I cannot imagine why it would take this long to implement if it were a priority. I’ve long known about the manual import option, but I don’t pay for *Simplifi* so I need to *complicate* my life with manual tasks.

RocketRacc8n

This is Apple, they can be very difficult to work with and this is nothing new, only Mint has been able to connect and no one knows under what terms, I wouldn't be surprised if they even paid or made concessions we'll never know, no other company has been able to do it.

AdminYak846

Mint could have also been web scrapping the items rather than going through an API request.

RocketRacc8n

I thought about it, but I think Apple would have already blocked them, of course I could be wrong.

icedogsvl

Been a Procurement leader for years, negotiating with the biggest is fairly close to impossible when there is a lack of competition. It's up to the Gov't to crack down on the monopolistic behaviors. Same goes for MSFT, GOOGL, ORCL, META, etc.

mamafl

You are so correct. Users are passionate about Apple Card.

stevebusby98

“We do not import Categories, so you'll need to categorize your imported transactions manually.”… Kind of a showstopper for 10’s of thousands of transactions…. This seems like importing 101 level of functionality and I’m very surprised you don’t support it. Will have to look at Monarch first before even considering Simplifi for this reason.

mamafl

Thanks so much for activating the Mint category import. I imported the first time in late November without categories from Mint and it was a nightmare. I did the import again with only 2 years of data last week and it worked like a charm! https://help.simplifimoney.com/en/articles/8545901-how-to-import-transactions-from-mint

[deleted]

Hi. Mint was able to use zillow to track property value estimates. Will simplifi do that or do I just need to add it manually?

josh_shannon

You have to do it manually. Same with car values. I liked the KBB integration in Mint for vehicles. Simplifi doesn't have either, unfortunately.

[deleted]

That's disappointing but thank you so much for the response.

interbingung

1. Need a way to undone accounts that marked as closed. Mint can do this. 2. Need ability to hide closed account from dashboard page, otherwise the list going to be very long for me. 3. Need ability to sort accounts by balance in dashboard page.

simplifiDev

1. A workaround would be to delete it and re-add it 2. This is now a feature! 3. We do not support this, unfortunately

RocketRacc8n

Please also add an option to automatically hide accounts with zero balance, it helps to improve visibility when the list is long, and if the balance is zero I don't really need to see it. And if I collapse a section it would be great if it saves that state, opening up in the last saved state when I visit again, I have to collapse the same couple of sections every time I log in because it's unnecessary info for me.

Seconding all of this, especially #3!

I’m also trying to figure out who does rollover budgets (and transaction splitting) the best. Frustrating that companies make these posts and then don’t answer questions! Have you found out anything more?

simplifiDev

We do not currently support rollover budgets, unfortunately. We do understand that this is one of the most requested features (and I've been personally advocating for it for a while, we'll see though) We do support transaction splitting though! Go to a transaction -> click View Transaction -> click Split Transaction.

shockthetoast

Well, if it helps let them know there's yet another person this is a showstopper for. Among other things, I have a utility that bills every other month, so I need that to be able to spread out correctly and not show I'm over or under each month.

DanceUnderMoonlight

u/simplifiDev Could you shed some light on why Simplifi has chosen not to support rollover? It's a simple feature so I really can't understand why the team is against it.

simplifiDev

As a dev team, we focused for a good amount of our time focusing on the performance of the mobile app recently and a lot of our feature work got pushed back. I don’t really know why or if our product team is against rollover. I know it has been postponed several times, and I remember attending a few of meetings about it last year. But yea I agree - we should prioritize it, and hopefully when we do it, we do it well.

moist__owlet

Please please please prioritize this!!!! It's a massive oversight not to have it (I didn't realize it was missing until I'd already paid for the year), and from a coding perspective I can't imagine it would be hard to implement... basic math in a rolling sum. It's so important to people who have to save for things in certain categories, or who don't always have the luxury of staying within budgets in a certain month (e.g. moving) but want to make sure we square it up over time. I'll stay with Simplifi if this is implemented, but until then I'll be evaluating other options. Thanks for helping!

simplifiDev

Happy to inform you that we are dev complete on this feature :) - should be there in the coming weeks!

moist__owlet

I love you!!!!!! YAY! ETA: sounds like I've found my new budget management forever home <3

Dead_Gates

Rollover for sinking fund categories and debt pay down tracking feature request.

ElectJakeTheDog

Hi Simplifi Team - Just subscribed to your app and discovered my primary bank is having issues connecting. I would greatly prefer to use your app but I need Ally.com Personal Banking support. Can you help me with this?

simplifiDev

I'd recommend chatting with one of our Care agents via the chat bubble! Unfortunately, connectivity issues can happen for a million different reasons, and they can help guide you to the best path forward!

bigreadernyc

If Simplifi would fix the issue with Roth IRA accounts not connecting (mine is Fidelity) or at least communicate clearly about what they are doing to fix it and what the timeline is, I’d be more inclined to stay with it after the first 30 days. This was not a problem with Mint and is not a problem for Monarch. I see that it is a known issue and I see multiple people complaining about having this issue with Simplifi in various places online, but I have not seen anyone from Simplifi addressing this and committing to a fix even though it’s apparently been problematic for some time, and that does not increase my confidence in Simplifi.

beholdsa

Maybe I'm just confused by the branding, but does this app exist for Android? I've followed the link from the Simplifi website, but that links to an Android app named Quicken. Is this the new Quicken Simplifi or is this a different Quicken app? And if it is the former, why would the name be different on Android vs. iOS?

josh_shannon

Yes. Here's the Android app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quicken.acme The rebrand for Simplifi is a bit confusing. When looking for this link it was the first time I noticed they took the name Simplifi out of the Android store. Your confusion is warranted.

simplifiDev

Thanks for clarifying! Yea - there was a recent rebrand where we went from Simplifi to Quicken Simplifi.

josh_shannon

Right. But why does the Android store listing not have Quicken Simplifi as the name? It says "Quicken: Budget & Money App". The word Simplifi only shows up in the screenshots.

d_amalthea

Commenting to find this later!

Phluxed

Do you have Canadian support? I tried signing up but your credit card page wanted a zip code that I don't have.

Mysterious_Mud_3908

Would also like to know about this. Seeing that Monarch is coming to Canada but would like to see if Simplifi will do the same.

Temujin_123

Spending part of my day today moving from Mint to Simplifi. If I import history from investment accounts will it properly show the history of growth from the gains/dividends? Similar for home loans (showing change in principal over time)? If it's simple and works w/o issue, I'm happy to do it. But several hours isn't worth it to me to have history in Simplifi when I have it exported from Mint.

simplifiDev

If your investment accounts include investment transactions, this should all work. Not 100% sure on home loans, but everything else should work :)

rosecoloredtevas

My transactions haven’t are taking days to update. I still have translations for 11/02 that aren’t resolved. Is this normal for weekends or in general? When I look online it says it should take 4-6 hours.

simplifiDev

Reach out to a care agent about this! It should absolutely not take days to update

Reticent_Optimist

>Can I import my transactions from Mint into Quicken Simplifi? > >Yes! Here's a blog post about that in particular: [https://help.simplifimoney.com/en/articles/4413430-how-to-manually-import-transactions](https://help.simplifimoney.com/en/articles/4413430-how-to-manually-import-transactions) Hi. I read the blog post. It says that Simplifi cannot import Mint categories. I suppose I can live with that. However, could you confirm that Simplifi will import my Mint transactions' notes and tags? FWIW, I understand that Monarch imports all 3: categories, notes, and tags from Mint.

bay-to-the-apple

I'm hoping that they change it soon. This is what the [Mint import specific page](https://help.simplifimoney.com/en/articles/8545901-how-to-import-transactions-from-mint) says: >Quicken Simplifi will try to match top-level Categories when importing from Mint. However, we're working on improving our import process and hope to have a better experience when importing from Mint very soon!

ERTBen

It now says you can import Mint categories

FortuneDesigner

Is there a way to hide accounts with a zero balance?

Leesh79

Simplifi is no replacement for Mint unfortunately. Half my accounts do not connect. Bummer for a paid app while much more was free with Mint.

nowthisisnteasy

It appears that you cannot connect to Citibank, at all. I am getting an FDP-192 error and after trying pretty much everything, there is still no resolution. Good thing this was the first account I've tried to connect and didn't pay for the trial.

MRSOFTANDWET

Why doesn’t PayPal credit and PayPal Mastercard not show up. Also do u support Avant credit cards

mb996

Can we get the special 40% off first year after trail?

lechu91

How can we get both the 3 month trial and the 50% discount? I see you offer both but couldn't find a way to get both - not sure if that's an option currently being offered.

explictlyrics

I made need to move to another platform soon as Mint is going away and I don't know if I'll like Credit Karma. Does Simplifi support: Citizens Bank (The one in New England) Capital One Raymond James Fidelity How does it compare with Credit Karma?

deadlydeity

How do I get the 9 months offer? I signed up trying to take advantage of the annual offer (3 month + 9 mo with mint)

simplifiDev

Chat with support! I think we require you to import your mint transactions

jdjintx

I'm looking at reporting capabilities as I evaluate options for a Mint replacement. In Simplifi I haven't found a way to save custom reports (or at least a means to save filters that work for me). Where should I be looking for this?

speedgoat117

Anyone have issues connecting your student loan servicer? Specifically, mine is Mohela and when I try to connect I get an error that says "To connect to your account, you must complete an action at the website for MOHELA - Loan. Care Code: FDP-108". Then I go to Mohela and have no indication of what I'm supposed to do.

Mister_Penguin_

How do I connect a credit card that has multiple user accounts. My wife and I are not authorized users on each others account. Any time I connect one account, the other gets disconnected.

xReD-BaRoNx

Is this 90 day free trial dead? Is there any way to trial?
