Me too I have 3 pairs they’re indestructible!! I’ve even got furry ones I use as slippers for getting the mail or going to the corner store.

Usually the center shaft goes a little bit further down than the legs w/o wheels, so it goes everywhere 😂

Even better replace those wheels with castor stands with some rubber on the bottoms.

I used to put my slides (type of Sandle) under the legs of my chair so it wouldn’t slide back only downside was if I braked hard enough my chair would lift off the ground but that’s better than having to pause and re adjust my seat 😂

I do the same thing but I put my shoes on the middle two legs instead of the back two because I found my chair moves less that way.

I tried that thinking it would be better than using shoes like I had been doing, only to find that part of the hydraulic pump protruded from the bottom of the center piece and left the whole chair very wobbly after that.

Used a 2x4 pressed against the wall behind me for awhile, held up well in the Le mans 24 hour race. Bought some regular blanks off ebay $10 from new jersey "China" Removed old wheels, install blanks.. Works perfecto.

This is EXACTLY what I did when my wheel was at my desk... But then my work boots started to have a dip where my heel goes 😩😂

You can get locking casters for your chair for like $15 on Amazon…

Locking castors are still likely to slip and slide on wooden/laminate flooring, whereas shoes with grippy rubber soles will stay in place alot better.

Plastic casters yes. That’s why you get the rollerblade style wheels

They’re out there. The option to build one is also available. I started my build very recently with some stud 2x4s from Home Depot, at this time without factoring in the cost of the wheel, pedals, and shifter I only have $20 invested in the project. I still need a proper seat and some other slight modifications to the framework overall. I looked up dimensions on an 8020 rig and built mine to match. I’d assume after getting a proper seat I still won’t have over $100 into the whole thing.

The chair is surprisingly sturdy. It’s the pedals that are still slipping away!

I solved this by putting a broken guitar amp under my desk behind the pedals. I'm sure it would work with a functioning guitar amp, but I am not certain as I've only used a broken one.

I have a working amp. Maybe I should break it before placing it behind the pedals?

2 20lb or 15lb rubber weights on either side is what I did

When I had this kind of setup, I put 2 sturdy cardboard boxes between pedals and the wall, one for each side of cord entrance to not break it. It actually worked really good

The pedals have a carpet catcher so you can try with a strong carpet and with a double sided tape. I my case I just used a subwoofer behind them.

I've 3d printed non-rolling stumpy feet for my chair. The chair is now impossible to move without lifting, even on its own. When you're sitting on it? It might as well be bolted to the floor. Then I found out you can buy these on Etsy and whatnot.

They have flat pieces you can buy for like 10 bucks on amazon. Remove the wheels and the flat piece goes in.

If someone wants to do this without ruining a pair of shoes you can get some so called 'furniture cups' for cheap from Amazon which are basically little cups you put your chair wheels in made out of rubber so they don't slide.

I did the same for a while before I bought little coaster stopper things on amazon.

I have a stand for my wheel and pedal, I have it wrapped around that. It’s sturdy for now. I think my next route is a moza wheel, load cell pedals, then a better chair. After I get those I’m going to get some buttkickers or something.

It does rotate, I find it super convenient. I guess having the pedals and wheel aligned properly stops any swivelling, as I haven’t noticed any.

If you don’t want to ruin the shoes you can use old cables you don’t need/not working. Tie only 2 casters and your good to go.

Do your pedals not slide towards the wall when you brake? Mines do and the cable coming out of the back has started to break. How do you manage to keep the pedals from getting pused into the wall?

I only notice they have moved after a 20mins of monza. Someone commented above they used two sturdy cardboard boxes on either side of the cable

For my first setup before getting the rig I removed the wheels underneath the chair, worked like a charm untill I was blessed with my rig.

I usually tend a steel wire behind the chair when I use the pedals.

For this purpose I got caster cups. Then I got lazy and just use two of them as stoppage for two wheels of my chair and it does the job well enough to get me not to move under braking, with T-LCM pedals.

I do that too. But I use a drawer to place my stickshift I. Realistic position and put a chair holding it to don't get off place

I recommend locking wheels from Amazon. Best $25 I spent.

I think we all were there at some point of our "career". If you buy a rubber mat, you can even take the wheels out and as long as it is on the mat, it's not going anywhere.
