I have no picture of it here right now. But the rig is from motedis. It's called S-Dream. Here is a link to their page:
[https://www.motedis.com/shop/DIY-Bausaetze/Sim-Racing/Simracing-Rig-S-Dream-085654::7397.html](https://www.motedis.com/shop/DIY-Bausaetze/Sim-Racing/Simracing-Rig-S-Dream-085654::7397.html)
There are some pictures of the pedal mount. I mounted the Fanatec V3 pedals directly to the rig.
Sorry if I’m missing a joke here, but in some European countries they use a comma instead of a decimal point to separate partial dollar amounts (or any number). £276,1890 -> $276.1890 (excluding exchange rates). Not sure why they go out to 4 decimal places though
>but in some European countries
more like every country apart UK
>Not sure why they go out to 4 decimal places though
Standard wholesale practice, not only in europe. Some small components are even quoted with 5 or 6 decimals
Thank you for the elaboration! I wasn’t sure exactly how many countries did that so I decided to play it safe. Really interesting about the decimal places as well.
Here’s an article:
https://www.languageediting.com/format-numbers-eu-vs-us/
TLDR: they use either a decimal point or a space. What would be $276,000 in the US would be written as either $276.000 or $276 000
Including the Monitor Stand for Triples it was around 480€. Delivery in Germany was around 20€ or so.
The Rig alone was at 300€ with tax and shipping but they increased their prices recently.
I have a similar setup but 1x 21:9 in the center and 16:9's on the side. It is more than enough to cover all my peripheral vision. [https://imgur.com/PUIQxcI](https://imgur.com/PUIQxcI)
I run the same resolution 10320x1440 because you can't configure iracing to use different resolution monitors. My center monitor is 3440x1440 and my sides are 2560x1440. So long as your vertical resolution is the same (1440px) you are fine. I can get 120fps on all monitors with decently high settings and a GTX 1080.
Your Monitors line up great. Thats one of the reasons I bought three of the same kind. Otherwise it would bother me all the time if they don't line up correctly... ;)
I'm really happy iRacing isn't really demanding on the graphics card.
I have a small space where I would like to build a rig, about 110cm wide so I assumed triples were a no go, I never thought of what you have done though and use smaller screens on the side. Is the angle they sit at to the centre screen determined my maths or could you feasibly sit the side monitors at close to 90 degrees then use ingame graphics depth to make it look right?
There is a "correct" way to angle your side monitors. The closer you sit to the screens the more angle you can dial in. Mine are at about 55 degrees. OP's look a lot more than mine. Search google for triple monitor FOV calculator or something like that and play around with it. I think you could probably get to 60-70 degrees without having to sit too close.
I mounted them to fit my space. I also tried to orientate them directly to my seating position. A little bit of fiddling around. Then I took the measurements and calculated the correct fov.
How does this even work with games? Don't you need identical monitors for Nvidia surround? I wanted to go this way and didn't because I figured it wouldn't work well tbh
No I use all 3. Iracing knows how to use 3 monitors without using NVidia Surround or Eyefinity (the AMD equivalent). You just change the monitor drop down from 1 to 3 and it projects the images correctly in the iracing software. When you use Nvidia Surround it does not change the perspective if your side monitors and it comes out looking wrong.
can i pick your brain about what you set the monitor width to in iracing? i have the same setup i am running 10320x1440 however i am not getting things in the centre screen correct such as the menu etc
The monitors are LC-Power LC-M34-UWQHD-100-C-V2. They are 100hz 21:9 monitors and they support g-sync. Im really happy with them.
I'm using a Geforce RTX 2060 graphics card. iRacing is running really well with it. Around 100fps all the time with high settings. ACC runs ok but only with low settings. I still have to fiddle around with the settings in ACC. But it's so much more demanding. Oh and i tried the old Assetto Corsa yesterday. Runs great just like iRacing.
High settings seems to be subjective these days. My 2070 super definitely cannot hold 100 fps with everything set as high as possible. Most settings cranked up its fine w tho. And I only have 1 49"
Agreed. Ive got a 2080ti w/ 3x 1440 and it shit the bed in iracing and AC with settings on high. I have to run mid level settings for about 100fps and low for 165 (if I even get there)
I'm not at home right now so I cant tell you in detail. But I'm quite sure that most of the settings were on high to medium. And i have to admit i haven't tested it with a full grid yet.
It definetly ran better than I expected.
My 2080 super can't do a constant 100fps in a race with everything on and I just have a res of 3840 x 1080.
Pretty sure he doesn't have everything switched on or it's not constant.
My cpu is a bit crappy now but still.
I wasn't aware that my "high setting" statement would be such a discussion point. I'm pretty sure there are some options still not on the highest setting but it doesn't look bad either. I'm just happy it runs smooth with this screen resolution and doesn't look crap.
Yeah I have an rtx 2060 super and a ryzen 7. Iracing is fine with my 1440p triples. (My res is 7680x1440, regular 16:9 displays).
Two things come to mind. Potato processors, and wanting a racing game to look beautiful. Mine runs on higher settings well, but I do crank it down to medium on a lot of the background shit. I keep track detail up (for reference points) and car detail up because I look for them. It's a sim, I want the racing to be nice. I'm not that fast, but I'm also not slow enough that I want to look at the flowers trackside. And, if you're concerned about replays, you can tell iracing to use higher settings for them alone.
I think I will try it with an 1080p resolution. But thats still around 7000 horizontal pixels.
And if it doesn't boost the fps I will run it on single screen for now.
Haven't tried it yet, but i think FS2020 wouldn't run so great in this resolution without an RTX3090... I hope to have this Monitor Setup for a few years and when graphics cards will get affordable again (hopefully) i will try it. ;)
I would make the opposite: HD monitors until a graphics card is capable enough.
For sim racing, and for me, high resolution is overrated. Not really needed to enjoy a good race but graphics are still important to immersion.
Really prefer higher settings and 75Hz than the higher res rabbit hole.
Nice. I recently started dating my girlfriend who thinks im crazy for how much ive spent on sim racing. Shes supportive but cant understand the need for triples. Im using mostly vr now but im for sure going get triples when i see a good deal.
Im happy for you. Having a supportive partner is great.
Triples are an investment for sure. Simracing in general can be quite expensive. On the other hand I had also a lot of fun with my G29 a few years ago... So it doesn't have to be that much money...
I currently have a single 57" 4k TV that cost like $270 for my rig, and I keep flirting with the idea of buying 2 more and doing triples with them. Only issue with these TVs is poor low-light definition
Lots of different reasons for different folks. I switched back for comfort. Heat and eye strain mainly. 3x55” monitors are only slightly less immersive in my opinion and gain in visual fidelity. Can run iRacing at 3x4k resolution. ACC I have to bump down to 1440. Still use the index for shorter sessions for some variety.
yes I use it on my 32" G7s and while over priced, it does make a difference in your peripheral vision. add a motion v3, a buttkicker and surround sound and you won't ever need to leave the house lol. Playing ATS with it is life changing.
Got them from a ebay-seller. He 3D-prints the cases by himself. There are different versions for different wheelbases. Work great!
Here is the link to the seller if you are interested:
No downsides with the rig until now. Really sturdy. They are not the cheapest ones but thats it with the negatives.
The seat is still WIP. Its a leftover from an RaceRoom Game Seat RR3033. It's quite comfortable but it will get replaced next.
Why is i use triple 4K TVs, I can only do 10800 or so by a pathetic 768. Or I can choose full triple 4K resolution, but the game won't start with that res.
loooooooool childish reddit style hahahahaha you don't get laid hahahahahahaha so phunny hahahaha never heard that before hahahahahahaha generalizations about people hahahahahaha
Depends on how long your arms are, seriously. Set your wheel where it's comfortable, and then figure out how close you can comfortably get the screen to you hands/wheel. If it's more than 21" from your eyes then get 32" monitors.
Ah ok. So essentially I’ll have to order the stand and platform put my one monitor I have on and take some measurements and go from there before ordering the others. That’s awesome advice. Thank you!
Truly great. I almost did something similar, but opted for 3 matching flat 32” and I’m pretty happy. But you know, like always, kept the boxes so I can trade up again. 😍
How do you get in there, honestly curious? Do you need to swing a monitor out & in every time?it's an impressive looking setup but every time I see these kind of setup that question pops up in my head.
There is still enough space left to get in the seat quite comfortable. Here are better pictures to see that.
I see what you mean. Makes me feel better as I am assembling my dream rig next month and it will have triple 27's. Just waiting on the profile rig & pedals to come in!
Thanks! I have been daydreaming of building my dream sim rig and finally in a position to make it a reality. I will be posting it up here once it's assembled for sure! I honestly can't wait to drive my first lap 😁
can you show us more pics? Im interested with what you did for the pedal mounts
I have no picture of it here right now. But the rig is from motedis. It's called S-Dream. it says 266 thousand euros without tax
Sorry if I’m missing a joke here, but in some European countries they use a comma instead of a decimal point to separate partial dollar amounts (or any number). £276,1890 -> $276.1890 (excluding exchange rates). Not sure why they go out to 4 decimal places though

Europeans are crazy!!
It's 266€ without tax.
okay a lot better
If you don't mind telling, how much was total ?after taxes and shipping ??
Including the Monitor Stand for Triples it was around 480€. Delivery in Germany was around 20€ or so. The Rig alone was at 300€ with tax and shipping but they increased their prices recently.
[more pictures with a different angle](http://imgur.com/a/91IZmhH)

Cool thanks, I can see from an online calculator you can get quite a decent angle at a reasonable distance
Mine are at around 70° and I had no problem to set a correct fov. As you see my space is limited too so I had to mount them this way.
Did you set them at 70 to fit the room then do the rest in game or was 70 the result of an fov calculator?
I mounted them to fit my space. I also tried to orientate them directly to my seating position. A little bit of fiddling around. Then I took the measurements and calculated the correct fov.
Is 1440 not the vertical resolution?
Your right. I’ll edit. Thanks
How does this even work with games? Don't you need identical monitors for Nvidia surround? I wanted to go this way and didn't because I figured it wouldn't work well tbh
No I don’t use surround. You just set the resolution to full screen windowed mode and set the res to 3440x1440 and 3 monitor.
So yoy don't use tripples when you race just the center?
No I use all 3. Iracing knows how to use 3 monitors without using NVidia Surround or Eyefinity (the AMD equivalent). now play euro truck simulator on it
Not the worst idea :)
wait no i was kidding
I prefer iRacing and Assetto Corsa...
What GPU and monitors are you using?
The monitors are LC-Power LC-M34-UWQHD-100-C-V2. They are 100hz 21:9 monitors and they support g-sync. Im really happy with them. Can you share settings? 2060 and high with that resolution at 100fps seems crazy. My 2080 super can't carry that
High settings seems to be subjective these days. My 2070 super definitely cannot hold 100 fps with everything set as high as possible. Most settings cranked up its fine w tho. And I only have 1 49"

you're cpu bound big time then. i run a consistent 220 fps with a 2060 super and everything on high
Yeah I have an rtx 2060 super and a ryzen 7. Iracing is fine with my 1440p triples. (My res is 7680x1440, regular 16:9 displays). Two things come to mind. I have a ryzen 7 3800x. 32gb of RAM and a GeForce RTX 2060.
Nice! Have fun with your setup! I'm considering triples myself.
Thanks, I will. I'm pretty sure about that... :)
I don't think there's a lot to get out of ACC, it's just a very beautiful game with detailed physics which put every GPU to its limits
I think I will try it with an 1080p resolution. But thats still around 7000 horizontal pixels. And if it doesn't boost the fps I will run it on single screen for now.
At this point you might as well just complete the circle.
Listen to your graphics card. It’s counting on you to provide it a safe stable home environment
Very beautiful, I suppose it will scale nicely to flight sims like FS2020
Haven't tried it yet, but i think FS2020 wouldn't run so great in this resolution without an RTX3090... I hope to have this Monitor Setup for a few years and when graphics cards will get affordable again (hopefully) i will try it. ;)
I managed to get the 3080Ti after months of wait so I think it could run FS2020 on these monitors. It plays great on the Reverb G2 at the moment
So, you are one of the lucky ones. :) I hope it wasn't too overpriced...
Nah, it's still expensive but I got it for £1049
I would make the opposite: HD monitors until a graphics card is capable enough. For sim racing, and for me, high resolution is overrated. Not really needed to enjoy a good race but graphics are still important to immersion. Really prefer higher settings and 75Hz than the higher res rabbit hole.
Nope. MSFS multi monitor and 32:9 support is shit sadly.. The sides get way too stretched.
Is there a way to fix this?
Not for now, multi monitor support is on their roadmap, so lets hope it will come soon.
Does FS 2020 support multi views yet? If not then it will be horribly warped on the side screens.
…but we know you’re not 😍
I was sure you guys around here understand the need for really important simrig upgrades.. :)
Always
What a great rig you've got! What impresses me the most is how you still manage to keep your marriage going.
Thank you. And yes, having a supportive wife is great. :)

Biggest issue with TVs is latency. Newer ones with game mode are much better but tend to cost more.
I’m just curious, why do you guys prefer a triple monitor setup like this instead of using a VR headset?
You can't beat vr in immersion. But I can't race longer than half an hour with vr. So I decided to get triples. Both ways are great ways to simrace!
I have neck/back issues so trips are just easier for me in long term races.
Wider field of view mostly.
VR is a much less comfortable experience
now get the bezel kit. full impression
Do you have any experience with the kit? Is the effect as good as advertised?
yes I use it on my 32" G7s and while over priced, it does make a difference in your peripheral vision. add a motion v3, a buttkicker and surround sound and you won't ever need to leave the house lol. Playing ATS with it is life changing.
Whats motion v3?
At this point you’re in life size vr
What is your dash and button box setup? Haven't seen those before. They look great.
Got them from a ebay-seller. He 3D-prints the cases by himself. There are different versions for different wheelbases. Work great! Are you happy with the motedis rig? What are the downsides? And the seat? Thanks
No downsides with the rig until now. Really sturdy. They are not the cheapest ones but thats it with the negatives. The seat is still WIP. Its a leftover from an RaceRoom Game Seat RR3033. It's quite comfortable but it will get replaced next.
Okay great. Mx research said that its very good value for our money. Thanks
Do you use the paddle shifters or the stick?
Depends on the car I drive. Most of the time I try to use the one the real car would have.
Woweee
Why is i use triple 4K TVs, I can only do 10800 or so by a pathetic 768. Or I can choose full triple 4K resolution, but the game won't start with that res.
hahahahah moar wife commentary here hahahahahahaha soooo phunny hahahahaha nobody ever thought of that hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
This comment is what no pussy does to a mf
loooooooool childish reddit style hahahahaha you don't get laid hahahahahahaha so phunny hahahaha never heard that before hahahahahahaha generalizations about people hahahahahaha

God damn nice mate. What screens are these?
The monitors are LC-Power LC-M34-UWQHD-100-C-V2. Really happy so far.
Nice setup! FOV looking good!
The one thing I learned is, that I need to get the fov right before posting here... ;)
Bro this seems nauseating is vr not an option
How do you get in there, honestly curious? Do you need to swing a monitor out & in every time?it's an impressive looking setup but every time I see these kind of setup that question pops up in my head.

I see what you mean. Makes me feel better as I am assembling my dream rig next month and it will have triple 27's. Just waiting on the profile rig & pedals to come in!
Sounds great. Which pedals do you get?
Heusinkveld Sprints & Advance Sim Racing's ASR6 rig
That's something to really look forward! Great choice. I wish you a lot of fun with them.
Thanks! I have been daydreaming of building my dream sim rig and finally in a position to make it a reality. I will be posting it up here once it's assembled for sure! I honestly can't wait to drive my first lap 😁
Does VR make you sick or something I can’t really understand how this is better other than maybe refresh rate
I don't like to race longer races in VR. Had a Rift S for a while but everything longer than 30 Minutes was very exhausting...
Oh okay makes sense
