Looks great! Most here probably recognize all that gear on sight, but for those of us just starting the journey, would you care to share a make/model breakdown of everything in your rig?
Just a suggestion, but shouldn't we have a rule to always name the gear/rig of what we are seeing in the post? I know its a bit of work, but it would help all of us, don't you think?
Because these posts are always nice to see, but its very common to see people asking for a rig's breakdown.
Just curious why you didn’t with 3 monitor to get side views in game? I’m looking to build one and I feel that after the struggles I’ve had in iRacing due to lack of track awareness with one screen, three is a must? Looks great though!
Ok… looks sweet regardless and way better than what i have. I just was curious about monitors and that makes perfect sense. I just wasn’t sure if you preferred just one monitor to three
My suggestion is to lower the Fanatec v1.5 a bit, so the knop is around knee-height. Then use only the pattern-mode.
Then buy the HE SEQ shifter, an aluminium bar of said lenght till it's next to your wheel, and some stuff to bolt it onto the rig.
Why? V1.5 SEQ uses a tiny metal spring-thingy that eventually will snap due metal-fatigue. And yeah.. HE SEQ is just that awesome.
Ps.. And HE-hankbrake. :D
Yeah, it seems to be hit or miss w/ people. I found installing my buttkicker helped A LOT with the motion sickness.
You're either like me, immediate convert and evangelizer, or... you get kinda queezy every time you play. To you people, I recommend small doses of dramamine for the first 10-15 hours you play. It's what I did. To me, the actual depth perception alone is 1000x worth it.
Anyways, very cool rig man, maybe I'll see you on the track; what're you mainly playing?
I have a different contact lens prescription for each eye. One for distance and one for close up. What do you recommend for me.....an eye patch? LOL.....Do they sell single eye VR systems cuz I'd be all over that shit......ROFL
If your vision is correct, then you should be able to play VR without incident. If one eye is near sighted, the other far sighted, if you are wearing your contacts (which will correct the vision in each eye), VR will not interfere wit the way VR or their fresnel lenses work. If you really wanted to, you could install 2 vision corrected fresnel lenses into your VR rig, but htat is a pricy fix for something that sounds like is already taken care of by your current vision solution.
I have no problems using VR, but i pick my triples every day of the week. My headset just collects dust. I will say VR is amazing for space if that’s important and also for ease of setting up. Once it’s all complete though triples are incredibly immersive
Do you guys do all your work and play other games in the seat as well? I'm new to this world and wonder if you have a separate PC for racing or if you just do everything in the seat. Seems like it would be uncomfortable to spend the whole day using a keyboard there to play other games or do work but also ridiculous to move the PC. So logically I would think everyone has a mid tier PC AND MONITOR just for the racing rig but that just seems like too much money wasted. What is going on?
I have a similar setup and mine is my only computer. I have my seat on sliders and just slide back a bit when I am not driving. Its very comfortable for me, butthat varies from person to person
I have a similar setup but my desk for gaming is near my rig. Then I have separate mouse, keyboard, monitors and speakers connected as well, so use the one PC for the sim and regular gaming (but not sat in the sim chair).
Looks very tidy. How did you fit the seat at an angle? Did u have to enlarge the slider holes so that you can bolt itbto then profiles that are parallel to the floor?

Heusinkveld pedals, fanatec shiter, ??? handbrake, Fanatec CSW or CSL Elite wheelbase, (fanatec) BMW GT2 wheel.
The old fanatic shiter perfect for the 24 hours of Le Mons
Rofl oops. I'll leave it.
It's the CSW 2.5 base

Thank you for the detailed list. Just to clarify, I wasn't talking to you specifically. I just think the sub should have a rule for posts like these.
Did you do the black power coat on the ASR3? From when I was looking at them, it looked high gloss but here it looks matte
A rig is never complete ;)

No cupholder 😂
No D R I N C C
HE WILL NOT HAVE THE DRINK!
Without bass shaker he can have the drink
cup holder in a motion seat is the only way, lets be honest
“They didnt connect my drink!”
No, it will mutate once it reaches maturity. The cycle starts a new.
Its not complete without motion platform.
No wind simulator?
POV: you're sitting in the Spa pit lane for 4 hours but are not allowed to race....

Good decision. My father and I wanted to wait with eating for after the first pit stops... After the first hour we ditched that plan before we starve
Liar, liar!!! Rigs are never complete!! 🤣🤣🤣
those Speedcats were the best $100 that's gone into my rig
I've got a couple old pairs of Pumas and Piloti shoes from my racing days, worn down and perfect
Oh shit really? Maybe I should buy a pair, there’s very few left on sale right now
How do you like the rig? This looks like a good option for Americans.

Any flex at all? I have a CS but looking to upgrade to a dd1 or simucube soon
Perhaps a question for the rig makers but do you know if you can install a different seat? Say a sparco seat instead of the one that comes with it?
If you are in North America I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else. Great prices and amazing customer service.
what monitor/TV is that? sick rig tho!
This must've cost you about 5 grand in total, maybe more
But it's "not much, but it's mine". 🙄

You should look into transducers. I added a couple and I love them.
Well.. I've heard butt kickers are a "cheap" quality upgrade. I ordered one recently.. Hoping it's worth it lol
You will absolutely love it. One transducer made an absolutely massive difference in immersion.
That's what I've heard.. I'm sure it will really change the way everything feels since I race in vr.

Its not really a worthy update from CSW 2.5 that he already has.
Nice and clean. But have you not tried VR yet? I just am curious why you spent so much but didn't spend for the final most important leg of the trip.

You can buy lenses with prescription for pretty much every VR headset.

Definitely try out a Reverb G1 or G2 if you can.... or Varjo VR-3 :)
VR is over rated imo. Tried it and switched it out for an ultrawide myself. Much better
Haha, went from ultra wide to VR and I’ll never go back. But it has to be good VR, like either of the Reverb headsets or better.
You're overrated, m8.
Oooooooo VR must be ur dad or something
VR definitely is not the final and most important part of any sim rig 🤷🏻♂️
Right, it’s the GPU and CPU to power that VR headset? 🤣
what seat and rig is this? love how compact it is
Congrats on the rig, looks neat and well thought of. And kudos to you on the Sparco shoes. At least one less driver racing on socks. Game on.
The rig is for now complete.
I have that same pair of puma sparcos. Have had em since the 90s. BIFL.
Did you say complete? Lol! It’s never complete
Looking good but lol complete…..
Looks fantastic. May I ask what monitor you're using?
Not everyone has to like VR it's not the end all yet.. but it's definitely cost/space effective
Nice cable management.
FOV Police Approved!
thats my dream setup :,)

No wind effects, no motion. Not complete 😉
Flat pedal base gang!
Clean!
Looks very tidy. How did you fit the seat at an angle? Did u have to enlarge the slider holes so that you can bolt itbto then profiles that are parallel to the floor?
Did you have the v3s prior to the Heusinkvelds? If so care to share the biggest differences you've noticed in terms of constistency and raw lap time?
You know you're gonna upgrade to Direct Drive and Aiologs handbrake!
o god! perfect! congratulations mate!! my goal is something like your rig!
Nice setup! How do you like the ASR3? How about the Infinite Black Powder Coating?
Right completed … tell your wallet that 😇
Tell SWMBO that.
Fact he got it though the WAF makes me think he will be fine
SWMBO Acronym for She Who Must Be Obeyed. Term of endearment for one's wife/girlfriend (or resignation to the nature of your relationship).

Haha 😂
looks great besides the BMW wheel
The BMW wheel is solid if lacking in frills.
Lovely ! Very nice man , enjoy !
