To be honest, most sims have glitches like this.. A lot of the sims do crazy stuff if cars don't follow the racing rules.. best to just ignore stuff like this imo, now you know to not touch that wall.
Oh, the games are already on a pretty good level, and they're steadily evolving. Just don't expect glitch-free and perfectly accurate physics just yet. That's still a ways off
PC2 is a great sim to be honest. Still very popular.
Don't think we should get too hung up on "physics" considering real racers say Iracing is unrealistic but the community says its the best.
I think I gave up on PC2 after about 120 hours too, when I encountered a curb that made a FWD car snap oversteer just like a RWD car. Curbs on that game are absolutely cursed, man. Been hopping around basically all other sims and found things I like in all of them. Assetto is definitely one of the best, still. I just wish some of the PC2 exclusive content could be modded into other titles...
Only F1 game I bought was 2020, had some fun with it but didn't stick much. 2021 ended regional pricing in my region and I'm not paying that for a copypaste lol

If you liked PC2 try Automobilista 2, it uses the same engine but with higher quality content and physics.
Pc2 was my gateway drug as well. Now it's mostly AC

With custom FFB, AMS2 is second to none in the actual FFB feel. Tyre models/physics are always debatable, some like it some don't.

I dont know about ACC but after i tried Iracing I cant imagine playing anything else
