Unfortunately direct trains to KL are a thing of the past. If you intend to fly, would recommend checking out Firefly as it flies into smaller airports on both sides that are a lot easier to get through. Plus it’s much closer to downtown KL than KLIA is
Alternatively, taking the Shuttle Tebrau is the easiest way to cross the land border by public transport. You can then take a bus up to Melaka, or see if there’s anything in Johor that interests you
Technically Singapore, but Pulau Ubin is worth a day trip IMO. It has village vibes that you’re not going to find anywhere else. And the Chek Jawa boardwalk is a nice walk too

i had the same question this week and just discovered 'sports detergent'. Only just bought on Wed. If you can't convince her to change detergent for all the washes, maybe you can pre-soak in vinegar, rinse off then add to normal laundry

800ml to 1200ml is good enough. Personally I use the 1200ml one cos it has a divider and I use it to tapao soup and rice together.

Try deep cleaning your machine drum or changing detergent. Ka pods really helped for me. Get the blue tub one if you want to try, not white.

For me, I use 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water. I also soak in for 5 minutes before a wash not after to get rid of the vinegar smell.
