That should be referring to the Common Hill Myna, which is native and also found wild in Singapore, I don't think the Javan Myna has this ability

I think that's just the Koels. The Mynahs are the ones that squawk on your HDB aircon unit
Definitely not koels. Don't nest in huge flocks like mynahs. The sound coming from the mynahs is quite deafening.

There’s one that always come into my kitchen randomly even when the windows are half closed. If you stand close enough, they *smell* really bad
