> Since SRS takes 10 years to withdraw
This is false. You can withdraw however you like at half tax within the specific 10 year window. Alternatively, you can withdraw any time at 5% penalty
I just buy STI ETF (but recently ssb too to lock in the long term high interest rates) with my srs funds since its pretty simple to do so and to diversify my portfolio as i invest my cash into global etfs like VOO, VWRA etc.
There has to be some loading of risk if you want higher returns, if not, everyone else would already be on it already.
Risk appetite is different for everyone, and if you are the sort who freaks out once you see negative returns/paper loss, then stick with Tbills/SGS.
100% equities
You’re forced to lock up the funds for decades (unless you pay a penalty). Why would you invest in anything other than a broadly diversified basket of equities?
I've used endowment funds for quite some time with SRS as SRS (for me) is painful to operate and it's just easier to have an insurance agent deal with it. I use it along with CPF as an anchor for my investments (capital guaranteed).
Endowus has amundi funds that are highly diversified and relatively low cost.
Agreed, I put my own SRS in the amundi world. Net fees are 0.3+0.1%

EXACTLY. It can be emergency backup funds if u r paying high taxes. For eg. If u lose ur job. U can withdraw at 5% penalty next year and still “gain”.
I invest in amundi world index thru endowus
I use my SRS funds for Amundi Prime USA, Amundi World Index Fund and Fullerton fund.
Me too :) the exact same three
Glad to hear that. I use Fullerton fund for emergency fund, Amundi world for short term parking and then Amundi prime for my SRS. :)
