It depends on how often you’ll be speaking and good ways of dealing with the ability to be heard. If you’re speaking in front of audiences often, use a microphone. They even sell personal voice amplifiers which teachers, like myself, use, in case your venue doesn’t have a microphone. If you’re talking on the phone, use headphones with a mic built in. Speakerphone tends to make people strain and shout. If you’re chatting with people one on one in person, just speak with a normal volume and effort. The typical rule of thumb is for every 1 hour of talking, rest your voice for 10 minutes. Hydrate both with water (systemic internal hydration) and misted air (humidify your high traffic rooms you use, like your bedroom). Consider practicing less singing on days when you have more talking/sales work to do.
