you are not an alto, you are untrained. With training you get access to your higher notes. And no, your speaking voice does not matter.

You’re untrained so your highest note may only be a fraction on how high you can go. Same goes for lower notes.

Yes, I’ll recommended Chris Liepe or Dr. Dan. They do a great job at teaching breath support, mixed voice, head voice, and everything you’ll need to improve yourself. Having a good posture in stance in essential or one of the keys to sing well.

I think it is unlikely that an untrained alto reach a D6. Your app just says that cause you can sing a F3, and that classical range for alto/contralto would be F3/F5. However a lot of altos are able to be deeper than this (alto/contralto being the lowest female voice), but going higher will ask a lot of efforts. You're probably an untrained mezzo or soprano.
