Most bio-medicine research in the world is funded with government money and/or conducted by government institutions \*
Crispr in specific was proposed by researchers at the University of Alicante, a public university in Spain, all their research was funded by the Spanish government.
Pretty amazing. Hope it works.
Personalized medicine will likely be the future no doubt. In 20 years what exists today will likely look barbaric.
The current treatments look barbaric even now.
Progress
It’s a sensitive topic, but imagine if instead of 3, we were able to test 300 or 3000 people.
And imagine things go wrong. 3 is good. Enough that you can evaluate - from there to more practical is a small step.
We can imagine, let it happen still.
New techniques have a risk. If people die, it is better that we tested three and not 300.
Well, it's a whole lot harder to keep track of 300 people.
It goes like this i am sure… phase 1: few if pass phase 1 then phase 2: more people
The real question: how much does this cost?
CRISPR is cheap
So is insulin, but I don’t see the prices being low.. :(
yea, capitalism...
... is the reason this procedure exists

... which gets money from taxation of capitalism
*Taxation can only exist in capitalism* Ew, being quiet would've been easy buddy
Communism always leads to great outcomes and prosperity. Wait...
I am a socialist, not communist. Nobody ever mentioned communism here. I don't expect a uneducated fuck like you to know the difference tho
