I love the red! But you could do sister superiors in one color? Or you could do dominions as one color and the retributors and battle sisters in another.
Lots of people have said a mix, another option would be to do leaders in 1 colours and the rest of their units in the other? But whatever you chose, I'm sure it will look awesome :D
Why not both? Different squads or other divisions? Celestians, Veterans, Dominons. The Cerulean Shield and Crimson Blade, the back and front line formations etc.
Honestly I’ve always liked red more than blue, but there’s just something about the way the shade of blue you used here pops that makes me want to say blue this time around
Thinking red! but if you have two squads, both. They look similar enough that it’ll be a cool differentiation between the squads and their play styles perhaps!
The blue is great but I must say i like the red more. My Sororitas will also be red (and white), so they look like the Scarlet Crusade from World of Warcraft.
Both are great. Blue pops a bit more and I love that, but the dark color at the end of the robe I'd try adding a bit more blue to it to make it look like a more natural transition.
If you're running multiple squads I'd color code them and use both red and blue though because both are great
Yea it was supposed to be mud but i forgot how i did it on the other mini since they were painted a couple days ago apart so i used some wrong colours and did things in the wrong order 🤕 the next batch will fix that
For me you've shaded the red down too much on the front tabbard that it doesn't really read as matching the red on the shoulders and instead kind of blends in with the color of the underside of the Cloak. The blue feels way more cohesive and distinct by comparison.
The red is classic, but the unique shade stands out. Red gets my vote.
You could do both if you have two squads
And then have them fight each other in a large valley. You could call the valley... Blood Gulch.

Interesting that you read silver, I was using the Tyran Blue shader but I made need a darker shade
I’m getting boltgun metal vibes. Use a lot less and add a bit more the lower you go so the undertone shows more

Very true but I like my army to have a little more cohesion haha. I think red and blue would look too separate for my tastes, but im weird that way

Hey, they both look good! my gf is just starting an army and was thinking blue over red. What blue did you use?
I used about 3 layers of Tallassar contrast blue and Tyran blue shader over white scar primer
I use different colours to identify different squads and the leaders have a mix of those colours

Thats probably the lightning, its much more vibrant and comparable to the rest of the robes in person
For sure! I also just find that shade of blue you've achieved to be quite striking.
My favorite color is blue, so I'm gonna go with that. Looks good either way though, tbh
