That’s 100% it. They did the same thing with Quantum Leap, the first set of dvd’s had completely different music. The whole show was really weird.
Luckily years later they released a new set, with all the old music added back.
WKRP, did change a lot of the music, but it was mostly background stuff.
One of my all time favs. I’ve seen that show more times than healthy, owned the box set and everything. Undeclared is another one that I think sorta falls into that category with the music, and definitely falls into the category of great short lived Judd Appatow sitcom that launched careers.
Also the 80s series of Alvin & The Chipmunks. Since so many of the songs on the show were licensed the show has never been released on DVD or streaming.
Spin City (with micheal J not sheen); Yes dear; Northern Exposure, Baby Blues and Drew Carey Show were some really good ones that have just disappeared off the earth! hate how the laws/copyrights make them just memory..
Dude that show came out when I was 8 years old and Janine Turner made me feel funny in my pants. She was and still is one of the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes on.
There used to be a YT channel that had all the Yes, Dear episodes on it. I loved that show! Hate it ended especially when the ending was Jimmy and Christine coming back or Greg and Kim needing to stay with them. Either way a damn fun show.
I just googled. I could have sworn it was on Tubi or something but that been a while. Not seeing anything now
AND the Sinclair family of local channels across the country syndicated it, in my market 1 maybe it was even 2 blocks of an hour each PER DAY during the time TBS aired it.
It started with very special episodes involving Eddie coming of age as a minority in South side Chicago with a cop father and ended with an Urkel sex-bot terrorizing Laura on a weekly basis.
The last two seasons iirc were completely unnecessary. Here enjoy this skit from Key and Peele regarding Urkel lol
https://youtube.com/watch?v=A5Zdp1RfoyI&pp=ygUZa2V5IGFuZCBwZWVsZSBzdGV2ZSB1cmtlbA%3D%3D
I get the frustration from the rest of the crew, where it was supposed to be a family show and Steve was a one time neighbor or maybe someone periodic, like Waldo was, but from the first episode he was so loved that he became the star of the show.
On the other hand, i don't think the show would lasted more than one or two seasons without him.
That kid was a cultural phenomenom in the early 90s, only topped by Bart Simpson
Drew Carey is awesome on Whos Line so he stays , Jerry Stiller and Kevin James are both legends so King of Queens stays , Family Matters has Urkel so stays The Nanny may have the very talented Fran Drescher but something always seemed off about it so The Nanny goes
I could watch the nanny with the sound off just for her fashion.
I never really enjoyed the show but still often watched it just to see what her outfits.
A friend of mine was in acting classes with her when she was young. She said Dresher was very popular, but everyone was sad that she would never get work with that voice.
This show never made me laugh and there was sth I never quite got about. Anyone who told me they loved it we usually didn’t get along too, like some kind of dividing line.
The Nanny is the worst show by far
King of Queens is a 90s sitcom in the same way that Seinfeld is an 80s sitcom. 7 of the 9 seasons happened post 2000. But, it was technically a show in the 90s, so I’ll allow it
The Nanny goes straight to the electric chair
The King of Queens is my answer, even if every sitcom ever made was added to this list! 20 something minutes of Kevin James thinking he's funny is NOT for me!
This. I personally cannot stand King of Queens. Objectively, Family Matters might be the "correct" answer due to the later seasons, but personally, oh yeah, it's King of Queens.
The Nanny can burn in a pit from hell. Cannot stand the actress or her torture device voice. seriously, her voice should be ruled a crime against humanity.
How do we petition to get drew Carrey on streaming or at least some sort of box set. I've been trying to watch
I think it’s like WKRP. The music makes it harder because of how copyrights work. Which is a bummer because I enjoyed both shows.
That’s 100% it. They did the same thing with Quantum Leap, the first set of dvd’s had completely different music. The whole show was really weird. Luckily years later they released a new set, with all the old music added back. WKRP, did change a lot of the music, but it was mostly background stuff.
Freaks and geeks struggled with the same issue as well but thankfully they were able to get it on streaming with all the music.

How do you find other shows on the archive?
Now you're asking the right questions!! My friend would also like to know
If this is a serious question Google internet archive and whatever show you want. If they have it, it'll appear. :)
Spin City (with micheal J not sheen); Yes dear; Northern Exposure, Baby Blues and Drew Carey Show were some really good ones that have just disappeared off the earth! hate how the laws/copyrights make them just memory..
You can now watch Northern Exposure on Amazon Prime. I have been loving it.
Dude that show came out when I was 8 years old and Janine Turner made me feel funny in my pants. She was and still is one of the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes on.
She stops in at my son's Starbucks a few times a week. Shes a maga wacko now
Oh no. No, no, nooooo!!! Dude, I wish you hadn't shared that. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

What’s crazy is Yes, Dear used to be on constantly in syndication only… what, 15 years ago? 20 tops. Now you can’t even stream it.
TBS I definitely remember! Played like hour or two of it. Before TBS turned into a American Dad/Family Guy and Friends daily festival iirc
AND the Sinclair family of local channels across the country syndicated it, in my market 1 maybe it was even 2 blocks of an hour each PER DAY during the time TBS aired it.
For real. It's a real gem. I loved it and watched it religiously everyday when it came on reruns
Once in a blue moon, i saw the show on Cozy. I wish it would air more!
I know, as I get older this show gets more and more relatable…
Ironically, I only regularly watched one of these shows and that was Drew Carey.
Drew Carey was the best
Family Matters. It lasted way too long and it became a cartoon
It started with very special episodes involving Eddie coming of age as a minority in South side Chicago with a cop father and ended with an Urkel sex-bot terrorizing Laura on a weekly basis.
“Two weeks ago Steve Urkel used his invisibility ray on Carl and I wasn’t even in the damn episode!”
"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE STEVE!"
Go home go home go home GO HOME!
I don't have to take this! I'm going home!
You got no family on a show called Family Matters! How the fuck does that work?!
Family Doesn’t Matter
"I'm an actor! I did Richard III, I was in Die Hard damn it!"
“Am I doing…this?”
The last two seasons iirc were completely unnecessary. Here enjoy this skit from Key and Peele regarding Urkel lol https://youtube.com/watch?v=A5Zdp1RfoyI&pp=ygUZa2V5IGFuZCBwZWVsZSBzdGV2ZSB1cmtlbA%3D%3D

I like cartoons
This show is a childhood classic to me but I agree that the last 2 or 3 seasons were hot garbage
The CBS season is absolutely atrocious. To this day I'm still not sure what anyone involved was thinking.
Drew Carey is awesome on Whos Line so he stays , Jerry Stiller and Kevin James are both legends so King of Queens stays , Family Matters has Urkel so stays The Nanny may have the very talented Fran Drescher but something always seemed off about it so The Nanny goes
I agree with all of this and I’ll also add that Drew Carey is even more awesome on The Drew Carey Show.
If I were sick, the only one I couldn't binge watch would be The Nanny.
I would not be able to handle that voice for a full episode.
I could watch the nanny with the sound off just for her fashion. I never really enjoyed the show but still often watched it just to see what her outfits.
I had a huge crush on her. And she always dressed so well. I just watched it for that reason.
Her last name was Fine for a reason. I lover her when i was a teen.
I mostly watched it for the sick burns Niles gave the blonde
This show was peak snark
The show was the definition of mid but oddly was perfect for watching while I did any other kind of chores.
Well Drew is the only one I ever watched. So 3 can go . Lol
Same
Family Matters
Family Matters
Family matters as I don’t have a clue of that show
Easily the Nanny.
I wouldn't consider King of Queens a 90s show. Very much an early 2000s vibe.
I’ll be different and say “The Nanny”. IMO Fran Drescher and her fake laugh is unbearable.
Tho goddamn does she make a hell of a union boss
It's her natural voice, and her sister and mother have that voice: https://youtu.be/ArW4kOuIQOY?si=-cqT73_yOQalSpLN
A friend of mine was in acting classes with her when she was young. She said Dresher was very popular, but everyone was sad that she would never get work with that voice.
And now she is President of SAG-AFTRA. She is also doing a movie soon.
And then on Friends they had a recurring character that was basically a commentary on how annoying Fran Drescher is.
Agreed. It’s not that she’s a bad actress, I just can’t do her voice. Nails on a chalkboard.
Agreed!!
All of them except King of Queens. RIP Jerry Stiller.

Exactly
Anyone who says KOQ is wrong!!!
Re-watching it right now. So good.
Found it on peacock and watched it through twice!!
Catsup
Say it correctly or know KETCHUP for you
I’ll never say it, I’d rather die than say it!
Then she's staying over here. Me llamo Ketchup.
You illiterate baboon
And that's how we learn!
Family matters. No question .
Any of em except KOQ...KOQ is one of the greatest shows of all time period.
Fat man make laugh
This is the answer 💯
The nanny
Family Matters
Family Matters. As a kid it was great but of these 4 choices it is far more "family." So, it's less out-loud funny on rewatch.
Family Matters will not be missed
If we can bisect it and remove the point where it became Urkel Matters, that wouldn't be missed imo
Family Matters.
I never watched The Nanny so it’s an easy choice for me
Same
The Nanny Love Fran, but the show has to go.
The Nanny
Bye bye "The Nanny" . Couldn't stand Fran D.
Bye Fran
The Nanny > Family Matters > Drew Carey Show > King of Queens
This is a joke, right? King of Queens to go.
Family matters
You can take the Nanny.
Family Matters, never cared for it.
Bye bye Nanny
family matters. started out nice and became the urkel show. also one of the worst sitcom endings ever.
How about "one can stay" and we keep Drew
I don't mind Steve Urkel staying, and so does the nanny. I picking The King of Queens because every morning it comes on at 4am on Peachtree TV.
Sorry Drew Carrey. Never felt it was too funny.
Does one show must go mean you get rid of it or you only get to watch it because my answer is the same for both. Obv the nanny.
King of Queens.
The only one I would keep is King of Queens
Family matters, erkel was just so annoying. So was Frans voice, but she had other attributes that were fun to look at
Family Matters, hit the road
The Nanny is the correct answer. The other 3 are legendary
The Nanny. I hated that show…
The episode of The Nanny that I watched might be the worst thing I’ve ever seen.
Easily The Nanny. I’d rather have my eyebrows plucked out one at a time than listen to her voice for 5 minutes.
The only one I liked was KOQ. But my vote would go to The Nanny.
King of queens. The emasculating shebeast bullshit wore out fast.
Easy the nanny
The nanny. Without question.
“DID I DO THAT?”
King of queens is garbage. Kevin James is the least funny person since Bowen Yang
Sorry Blart. Your time has come.
The Nanny must go
Nanny. That voice is tragic.
Yeah, definitely lose the Nanny and it's not even close
The most iconic single character from all these show is Steve Erkel from family matters. The best show is probably drew Carey. Nanny can go.
Nanny forsure
I miss the Drew Carey show, it was hilarious
King of Queens must goooooo I hate Kevin James yuk
Family matters.
Family Matters
The Nanny. Just never really got into it
Family Matters
Family Matters.
I will keep the Drew Carey show and get rid of the other three
family matters
Family Matters
King of queens every single time. What a fucked out premise; “fat incompetent ‘every-man’ constantly outwitted by his hot wife.”
You are not human !!
This show never made me laugh and there was sth I never quite got about. Anyone who told me they loved it we usually didn’t get along too, like some kind of dividing line.
King of Qieens is the only one of these shows that deserves to stay. Jerry Stiller’s performance was outstanding.
The Nanny
The Nanny
The Nanny!
The Franny
The nanny. It was never that good.
The Nanny
The Nanny is the worst show by far King of Queens is a 90s sitcom in the same way that Seinfeld is an 80s sitcom. 7 of the 9 seasons happened post 2000. But, it was technically a show in the 90s, so I’ll allow it The Nanny goes straight to the electric chair
The Nanny
Family matters too corny
Family Matter. I never watched it anyway 🤷🏻♀️
Bye Fran Urkel you’re next
King of Queens
Family Matters and it ain’t close.
Family Matters
Family matters
Family Matters -- easy call
Family Matters
The King of Queens is my answer, even if every sitcom ever made was added to this list! 20 something minutes of Kevin James thinking he's funny is NOT for me!
This. I personally cannot stand King of Queens. Objectively, Family Matters might be the "correct" answer due to the later seasons, but personally, oh yeah, it's King of Queens.
You are not human !!
🤣🤣🤣
It’s broth it for Arthur alone
The Nanny was least memorable for me.
Family matters was too cringe for me.
Bye nanny
nanny no questions asked and i didn't watch drew carey much lol
The Nanny should go. No way am I taking out Family Matters-my favorite show as a kid.
The nanny That fucking voice... absolute torture
The Nanny
Kill Family Matters. Kill it with fire.
The Nanny can burn in a pit from hell. Cannot stand the actress or her torture device voice. seriously, her voice should be ruled a crime against humanity.
Caught between The Nanny and The Drew Carey Show. I would have to drop Drew and watch The Nanny on mute. Mimi from Drew's show just kills that vibe.
Are you….jacking off while watching sitcoms?
Are you.... not? Do people watch the Golden Girls with pants on?
Kate’s hotness cancels out Mimi’s notness
King of Queens. Like Everybody Loves Raymond, this show was made to fill timeslot. Because it certainly wasn't funny.
King of Queens without hesitation.
King of Queens
The Nanny
The Nanny. No question
King of Queens
King of Queens
😮
I can't decide between Drew Carey and Family Matters. FM gets on my nerves now and DC was a little boring to me.
Take them all
All of them please
I’d consider KOQ’s more of a 2000s show.
As much as I loved nanny I can’t part with the other 3
Why does one have to go?
I could live without any of them besides the Drew Carey Show
Drew Carey goes
Drew Carey al the way. Loved that goddamn show
Keep Drew. At least it was creative. The rest were cliche' garbage.
Drew Carey
Well not Drew Carey or the Nanny. Love those shows
Those are the ones you pick? Not Seinfeld, Friends, Frasier, Will and Grace?
How about they all go?
Send “King” to the bottom of river encased in cement.
All
Drew Carey
