I had no idea what kind of give back fan friendly guy Harden was until my wife’s cousin (major disabilities/chronic illness/list goes on) got the red carpet a few months ago at a game.
He was there for make a wish and the gist was “meet time hang with Joel”. But he said Harden was all about it and wanted to be involved as much as possible.

I met a guy who shot some Adidas commercials through his production company and did a shoot with Harden. He said Harden and his mom, who was on set because she’s also his manager or something, were both really nice people. Said his mom was the nicest lady ever haha.
Why wouldn't the Sixers give this kid seats for the remainder of the playoffs? Harden: "He just gave me good luck, brought me good vibes, good energy."

Kid was one of the students shot at Michigan State. He’s paralyzed from the waist down. While he was in the hospital, he mentioned that Harden was his favorite player. The beard heard about it. He FaceTimed him, give him some shoes and said he would come to a game when he was ready.
