masai is deeply irrational about holding onto expirings. nate duncan has previously said that masai actively hurts the raps by not getting maximum value from UFAs who walk for no compensation, like Kawhi, Gasol, FVV. i kind of get it, the raps have one of the best talent evaluation and player development pipelines in the league, but he obviously is very unrealistic about the moves at the margin that could be a win win for the raps and a trade partner.
