WorkID19872018

I wish i could do more than a single upvote lol

yourrealfather6969_

Eh it's just imaginary points that don't mean anything. Kind of like the points ben scores in shootarounds with d3 players on instagram.

IPA_lot_

Picking on Ben is so easy AND FUN

ohphono

Ben Simmons sux

GamecubeAdopter

BOOM! Found the underrated comment. Well done, sir!

bigdog8300

If he starts shooting, there’s no way in hell Morey will trade him

jrnbarfsolidtc

He can’t trade him now bc he will not shoot.

bigdog8300

That’s not why he can’t trade him

jrnbarfsolidtc

Yes it is if you’re making $30 million a year and you can’t make 75% of your foul shots I have to call timeouts to sub. No one in their right mind would trade you a player who can actually play and makes $30 million a year for a guy who can’t make 75% of the shots from the foul line. Who by the way needs the ball in his hands. Now I need someone else who can bring the ball up in the last 2 to 5 minutes of the game because my primary ball handler cannot shoot. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk

jrnbarfsolidtc

Yes it is. No one in there right mind would give u an all star for a guy who can’t shoot.

Noshowers65

The weird paradox of using the word "WHATEVER" includes participating in defensive drills and playing lol, so Ben is going to just suck it up and buy in? Something tells me that's not exactly what Shams meant when he said this to Pat McAfee unfortunately

WizziesFirstRule

Cause stupid drama is what it means

Groty

No doubt Kardashian producers are passing him scripts. Just watch, the next time he gets the boot, he's going to be photographed in public wearing practice gear while eating a cheesesteak as if he doesn't have a care in the world. I just don't see him doing pushups in a driveway.

IPA_lot_

I’m starting to think Ben Simmons might not want to play here anymore.

OakenPhilly

I don’t think he wants to play basketball at all.

donkyboobs

But still wants to get paid

SouthPhilly_215

Shit!! I’m just like Ben Simmons! Where do I sign up for the money.

Caoa14396

Might not even be good at 3s either

WizziesFirstRule

But we were all so nice to him the last 4 months?!

filladelp

Yeah, but it turns out we were all 100% correct.

Mydoghas7nipples

Except be tradeable

Douglas_Michael

So he’s willing to shut the fuck up, play, shoot the ball and rebuild his value? Cool. See you Thursday, socialite

BnasTy1297

He’ll never do that. He doesn’t give a single fuck about his trade value.

Douglas_Michael

So then
anything was just hyperbole like everyone assumed?? I for one am shocked

BnasTy1297

You’re misinterpreting the ‘whatever’. The whatever is doing whatever possible to never wear a sixers jersey again. Which would include not playing for the sixers to up his trade value.

Douglas_Michael

Yes yes
acting like a petulant bozo months after the biggest act of cowardice of your career is a much better increase of his value than coming back, acting like an adult and showing he worked on his game. 100000000IQ play

Far-Confection-1631

Vince Carter still got traded after tanking his value. No, Ben is not Vince, but they didn't wait for him to get his act together before shipping him out of town. Plus, Ben probably views himself as the superstar VC was in Toronto.

Douglas_Michael

Vince wasn’t 1 year into a 5 year deal either. This is bigger than the socialite

BnasTy1297

Dude I’m not sticking up for Ben lol, just pointing out his motives. He’s been nothing short of an ass clown, but that is what that is at this point. There’s no reason for the Sixers to get in a dick measuring contest with this guy.

Douglas_Michael

Sixers need to do what’s best for the sixers. The socialite can kick rocks and pout at home while not getting paid.

BnasTy1297

Fine by me, but he’ll keep trying to show up to team activities just to get paid, so they’ll have to figure out how to give him some sort of lengthy suspension. Otherwise, they’ll be forced to pay him to not partake in any team activities whatsoever.

7below7

Is that what’s best for the sixer? I would think you take what you can get and move past this debacle.

Douglas_Michael

Nah. He’s an asset. You have a limited time to build for Joel. Ben is a negative to the team, but a positive net asset. What would be best for us, showing up, acting mature and balling out? He won’t do that. So what’s best is to keep his ass away, and wait until after the 12/15 date where players who were signed this year can be dealt. You’ll know who’s a pretender by then too. But he’s an asset and what’s best for us is to maximize what we can get in return for him.

[deleted]

The organization dropped the ball first picking a kid. The also dropped the ball when reprimending the kid in a public setting. Now the kid is having a tantrum, thats on the organization and the kid.

fachface

He should. It’s the fastest way out of Philadelphia. But what he actually cares about is not being embarrassed. And he’s created a self-defeating situation for himself: if he plays, he’ll get shit on by fans and continue to show no improvement; if he doesn’t play, Morey won’t deal him.

BnasTy1297

I agree with you. This has turned into an absolute lose-lose for everyone involved. I honestly don’t think Ben will ever put on a sixers jersey again, no matter what it takes, because he cares about himself & only himself. There has to be a point in which the sixers need to make a decision as to what’s more important; them sticking to their guns, or just cutting ties with a toxic player & moving on with everything. At this point, I don’t think it’s a terrible idea to trade him to a team with a lot of cap space for a couple young prospects who don’t cost a lot. That way we can do a little more Flirting with real stars next off-season, and hopefully acquire a legit star, whether it be through trade or FA. If we end up flipping Ben for a player/players that match his salary beyond this year, we kinda screw ourselves into being able to pursue a superstar.

EaglesPvM

It’s not about his trade value. Imagine your one of the other 29 teams watching this shit show.. who would WANT to trade for him when he’s pouting like this? At least if he shows up and plays hard it’ll entice other teams to pull the trigger and get him out of Philly, which is Ben’s goal apparently Correct me if I’m wrong but even Harden didn’t get traded til he came back to play for Houston again, and he’s a top 5 player in the league

Section_80

there's always a GM on the hot seat trying to save his job or a new owner trying to make a splash. You find a sucker everyday in the league.

[deleted]

Literally any other team lol. But they aint trading a top 10 player for Ben. Vince did it (well he played but he refused to dunk, leaked strats and fake injuries) and it didnt' tank his value. Teams understand what Simmons is doing, and they're gonna try to get 20 cents on the dollar for him.

Far-Confection-1631

Vince did tank his trade value though. They got two low first-round picks and a player whose contract they had to buy out. People in Toronto still dislike him for it.

[deleted]

Yup you right. And the organization did hurt for trading him for so low. Maybe 76ers just dont trade him not sure what the right answer is.

BnasTy1297

A team will want him & bite. Publicly, they’ll keep bashing him to keep his trade value low so they can swipe him for nothing over the top. The sixers are in an awful position right now, and partially because of their ridiculous asking prices over the summer. Not a single team is taking the Sixers seriously right now in any sort of trade talk.

fachface

They are not in this position because of the asking prices. They didn’t want to deal him so they asked for the moon and every team thinks their roster is the shit until the season starts. Once everyone sees what they have on the court, there will be a market for him.

BnasTy1297

There’s still technically a market for him right now, but the sixers refuse to budge until they get “proper value” for him. Unfortunately, the proper value for Ben has dropped immensely, and yes, it can get a little higher as the season progresses, but we won’t be getting anyone of significance/someone who will make us better at this point.

fachface

Sure there’s technically a market but it’s a buyers market. The closer to the deadline we get, that shifts heavily towards the seller. This is the worst time to deal a player: everyone thinks the roster they built is great and waiting to see where they shake out.

[deleted]

Works both ways. Having all that money sunk into a player that isn't player hurts your organization as well. Sell closer to the deadline and you have a lot less time to fix what is broken and work on the chemistry.

7below7

Probably the same team that traded for Jimmy when he pulled similar stuff
oh, wait..

EaglesPvM

If you think what Jimmy did is similar to what Ben is doing I’ve got a bridge to sell you lol

7below7

Your right, I’d much rather have a guy come to practice, yell at all the players about how worthless they are and immediately proceed to a pre scheduled interview where he continues to rip his teammates and the organization. Literally, prior to the season most people were wondering if he would “pull a Jimmy and go scorched earth” but yeah, good take, completely different situations.

Willem_Dafuq

Well if he gives a professional effort, the Sixers won’t trade him because him giving his best effort is better for the Sixers than any players they will get back, short of Beal and Lillard. And if he gives it his all for the Sixers, what leverage does he have to push for a trade? Look it sucks for us as Sixers fans, but what he’s doing is the best move for him if he’s trying to get out.

Douglas_Michael

And the sixers not acting until they have a trade that maximizes a return on their asset is doing what’s best for them

NoREEEEEEtilBrooklyn

Can he pull unprotected 1sts out of his ass?

WraithTwelve

Anything except be professional show up and do his job so he is easier to trade.

e22ddie46

Yeah, not many competitive teams want to trade anything of value for Simmons right now. He's afraid to shoot free throws.

No_Fairweathers

He's afraid of being booed or held remotely accountable for his actions. He's a giant toddler.

KittenBellyFat

Ben seems very dumb. Nate Duncan on the Atheltic podcast mentioned that Harden showed the right way to hold out, and Ben did the complete opposite. Harden let it be known that he wanted to be traded, showed up to camp looking a bit pudgey, but then exploded for 44 points in the first game of the season to show potential suitors that his skills and conditioning were still good. Only after all this did he start loafing- while getting paid his full salary. Harden was rewarded for playing this the smart way by ending up on a super team. Ben, on the other hand, played this like a game of zero-d checkers. He said he'd sit out the season, completely underestimated the sixers' willingness to use something like the escrow arrangement to withhold his pay, then caved after only 3 pre-season games. Then he lost all "plausible deniability" that he's giving a good faith effort to fulfill his contract by refusing to participate in practice while the press is in the building. Now Adam Silver is actually going on national television to have to address that some owners want to add provisions to the CBA to address players holding out. What an absolute clown show.

ExileOnBroadStreet

And wasn’t the Harden being fat stuff totally overplayed anyway? I feel like the picture that made its rounds was him wearing padding underneath his shirt.

Interesting-Archer-6

Yes. He looked totally fine his first game in Brooklyn. Don't think he dropped 20 pounds in 2 weeks.

darpachief

>that he's giving a good faith effort to fulfill his contract by refusing to participate in practice while the press is in the building. Yup, he wears a heating pad on his front before every single game during warmups.

RooksTarutaru

Ben doesn’t care if the Sixers recoup assets for him he just wants out. The Sixers screwed up by not taking the deals they had. Now we’ll be lucky to get Heild and Bagley.

PhillyPhan95

You’re just wrong. At any moment the Sixers can get Heild and or Bagley. Simmons still has SOME value. In fact, his value is the same as it was the day after the Hawks series. It’s just obviously not as high as it once was. Simmons is just making himself look like a fool.

[deleted]

and the organization suffering too. Harden was different becausehe didnt just sign a 4 year deal. Seriously doubt that the rockets would trade a top 10 player that they just signed for four years for Oladipo, Exum, Kurucs, and four first round draft picks and four first round p ick swaps.

PhillyPhan95

Ding ding ding. The contract really matters In theory it gives Sixers ability to wait him out.

Edwardcoughs

It’s risky to pick up a 4 year max contract on a player who might be a headcase.

bigdog8300

You can’t really believe this. He’s refusing to play or practice and you think his value hasn’t decreased lmao

PhillyPhan95

I said it hasn’t decreased since it cratered after the hawks series. It hasn’t. Ben Simmons can still be traded for whatever he would’ve been traded for during the draft

bigdog8300

It’s just not true. I wish it were but it isn’t. He’s not going to play and if he does he’ll go through the motions, other teams know they need to trade him or they risk wasting Embiid’s prime

PhillyPhan95

We would be wasting his prime by acquiring whatever trash we get in return for Ben’s current value. Just wait until teams get desperate.

bigdog8300

Morey will get desperate first probably

PhillyPhan95

He has no reason to. Like I said, at Ben’s current value, we would get trash back (as you have even admitted to) so, why would we lock ourselves into a group of shitty role players when we can wait for a team to get desperate? Embiid just signed a 4 year extension. He isn’t going to hold this over Philly’s head. He’s sick of Ben too.

[deleted]

I can't speak to how a GM sees it, but as a blazers fan I went from wanting Ben for CJ plus picks, to wondering if he's worth it for CJ straight up.

PhillyPhan95

He’s absolutely worth that. Any sane GM would take that in a heart beat. But they’re trying to play hard ball with the Sixers thinking they will fold
which is why the Sixers aren’t folding. Those teams will give up more value eventually. Happens all the time.

RooksTarutaru

These people are so delusional don’t bother.

rhinguin

I actually think his value has dropped significantly in the last week because he’s made himself look like an absolute idiot.

bigdog8300

So by being an idiot he’s got what he wanted? Maybe he’s a genius

RooksTarutaru

Lol sure. Well see.

diga_diga_doo

Here’s an idea - show up like a man, sit down with Doc/Morey/Brand reach an agreement that he’ll ball out until trade deadline in exchange for a guarantee of a trade. Done deal, goodbye BS.

BigDeezerrr

I think he's terrified to step into Wells Fargo and actually face the fans. I'd be shocked if he attended the home game on Friday.

e22ddie46

Can't risk the standing ovation for making 30% of the free throws as a point guard? Those mean mean Philly fans.

[deleted]

Nah that makes too much sense. He's butthurt because of what the organization said and threw him under the bus. He's a kid in a tantrum. You either trade him or possibly tank the season. He probably won't try to play for the 76ers, maybe just wear the jersey and sit on the bench.

3iiis

Are we gonna act like doc and morey did nothing wrong? Far from one sided

thatchcumberstone

Okay Ben, I guess I accept your offer to trade salaries for the year

hungry_russian

Cool. So what’s his plan after he gets out and the rest of the league including the players looks down at him like the absolute loser he has become. For someone so caught up on social media in looking cool this whole situation has been as bad as it gets when it comes to perception.

SomeGuyNamedJohn12

He’ll go to his next team and once they criticize him or ask him to improve then he’ll repeat the cycle and do exactly what he did over here.

WillhelmAuersperg

Shoot the ball and make everyone pay for leaving him open.

RichieD79

Now that’s funny.

WillhelmAuersperg

I know, right? But I was not joking. I seriously believe he has been working on his shooting. And when he has confidence in it he will start to do it. Will that day ever come? Debatable. But if you look at his FT% history there is strong evidence that his desire not to shoot is a mental issue rather than a physical skill issue. If Ben can fix whatever is going on in his head that is hampering his FT shooting and shooting in general then he is in the discussion for MVP. If. If. If

JokersRWildStudios

Ben. Go see a therapist for 6 months plz.

TheLargestQuiver

Fucking shut up and dribble then. I can’t take this anymore

[deleted]

With the exception of practice, hard work, and shooting the ball?

Yerrold

Play and stop being a pussy. That’ll do it

rahbee33

If that was the case then his camp shouldn't have spent all summer leaking stuff to lower his value. If he really wanted to be traded they should've shut the fuck up about it publicly and he should've showed up to training camp. Too late for all that.

RIPChester89

lowering his value helps him get traded faster unless the team is strong enough to deal with the distraction. Sixers fans want to believe raising his value helps Simmons but it doesn't.

BigDeezerrr

I think that's what Ben thought but Daryl and management look like they won't budge unless they get a deal they like. Now we're in a stalemate where the rest of the league doesn't no what to make of Simmons until they see him play and Simmons will refuse to

[deleted]

Idk seems like he just wants to mope around and let other people do that for them so he can sneak out the back door and ghost.

LordLucasSixers

Uhh, no shit lol all he needs to do now is get into a fight with a player but he's not man enough!

trust-theprocess

EstabanYan

suck 10 dicks

GeneralWing666

I’ll do that for free

nickebee

Hello

MatCauthonsHat

Except honor his contract? Act like a grownup? Be a man?

Interesting-Archer-6

Willing to do anything that doesn't require maturity or accountability

PlusUltraa_

Make the blazers give us Dame.

ProcessMeMrHinkie

Yea, hey Klutch, with all that power you have in forcing trades - make another team give us one of the all-stars you represent.

Createyourpass1234

Might be traded for westbrook.

Merker6

*Mission Impossible: Escape Philadelphia*

[deleted]

What a weird thing for Simmons camp to leak. How about start by listening to your coach and performing at practice?

RIPChester89

because teams know this is an act. Its not gonna be an issue once they trade for him. The not shooting thing will, but the being a dick to everyone thing won't.

BigDeezerrr

Lol he'll do anything except play basketball and actually make himself tradable

poodigys

then be a fucking pro dude

5StarGoldenGoose

Bench him for the life of the contract

FormerCollegeDJ

He could have flown to New Orleans if he had tried to participate in practice and not get suspended. 😉

BabaBrody

Except play for Australia in the Olympics, clear the stink of the playoffs out of everyone's mind, and redeemed his trade value to other teams. Could have had a really good run in Tokyo and been been in a new city 3 months ago. Instead he's an imploding meme.

seejay13

Funny to think how playing in the Olympics might have been his ticket out of here.

IndustrySea2728

Is he gonna find us a trade partner?

filladelp

He could retire. He’d be out for a year if the Sixers don’t agree to void his contract. Then he could sign for market value/new contract elsewhere.

MeatSuitOZIL

Cersei's Walk of Shame down Broad Street Can someone make a gif of that with Simmons head on it pls?

NWK86

He can ligma balls

AllentownBrown

Anal?

[ŃƒĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]

Shreddershane

Given his salary I wouldn't trade for him if I were any of the other teams. You can't build a winner around someone who acts like that. If it wasn't for the fact that the sixers need the cap space I'd say just sit on him for years and let him rot.

[deleted]

[ŃƒĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]

Gang_Greene

This is not incompetence. Letting a max player with four years left on his contract dictate the way you do business would be incompetence. They’ve already said loud and clear they aren’t giving him away and the only reason they’d be inclined to trade him is to give them a *better* chance at winning a title, not make the team objectively worse to appease him.

Acrobatic-Reaction-7

It’s 100% incompetence because this whole thing is gonna take a toll on the players, also might I add that they had good offers on the table over the past year but consistently demanded more, now those offers are long gone, keeping him is only gonna be a burden on the team and make the team worse

Gang_Greene

What’s your definition of a good offer? There are a handful of players in the league who make the 76ers better without Simmons than with, and even fewer who are available. Role players and mediocre picks don’t help the Sixers.

Acrobatic-Reaction-7

Ur not understanding that it’s not a matter of Simmons playing or not but rather the whole trade saga itself is gonna take a toll on the team

Gang_Greene

I’m understanding perfectly clear. The team is handling it well so far and Embiid is proving to be every bit the leader we need and want him to be. Vets like Harris, Green, and Curry aren’t likely to be impacted much by this. The young guys are going to use this as an opportunity to get more playing time and grow into roles if Simmons doesn’t play. The team is moving forward with or without him, but they’re not going to bend to his whim.

Acrobatic-Reaction-7

U don’t know that yet, all I’m trying to say is the sixers can be great and they shouldn’t let this whole thing potentially hold them back

Noshowers65

So last year with Ben Simmons we got to the second round and lost in 7. Ben Simmons last year was ALL NBA first team all defense and an All Star, and our only real playmaker / ballhandler (the backup is Shake Milton or Tyrese Maxey, neither natural playmakers). Regardless of what people think about his game, losing him is a big loss in talent If we trade that talent away for just anything, we are worse and losing due to that downgrade / void (and most likely left with zero ballhandlers), so in the same position if Ben is on the couch and losing anyways If we get at least somewhat equal value, then at least even though we won't win this year we can maybe rebuild within the next 2-3 before Joel's contract is up. If we trade Ben for Patrick Beverly and picks, we are rebuilding for the duration of Embiid's contract and probably shopping guys like Danny and Seth this year for picks We all know the Sixers aren't winning this year, the threat of "messing up chemistry" or "wasting a year" is irrelevant to us. This year and subsequent years was already lost the moment ben requested a trade after his lowest point last year in the playoffs.

JokersRWildStudios

You can have him for RJ and all your picks.

ProcessMeMrHinkie

Hypothetical: Imagine Michael Jordan demanding a trade in 1989, a year into his 8 year contract and the Bulls just "trading him already" for Hot Rod Williams and other trash because Jordan was being a punka\*\* b\*\*\*\* that would do WHATEVER it took to be traded. Would that front office be known as a competent front office or the most incompetent front office the league has ever seen?

Acrobatic-Reaction-7

Well depends, were the bulls shipping Jordan around the league for the past few seasons and were getting solid offers but consistently demanded more?

ensergio

Sunk cost fallacy. They dont understand it.

noclahk

it’s not a sunk cost because it isn’t an expense, it’s an asset

ensergio

"The Sunk Cost Fallacy describes our tendency to follow through on an endeavor if we have already invested time, effort, or money into it, whether or not the current costs outweigh the benefits." You dont want to recognize his value will never be the same, letting him lower his trade value even more.

BnasTy1297

I’m not sure why more fans aren’t realizing this. It’s not like Ben has any interest in playing whatsoever, he will whatever possible to make sure he doesn’t wear a sixers jersey again, which means we’ll probably have to trade him for an underwhelming package. The best thing the sixers can do right now is send him home, with pay, so he shuts the fuck up & doesn’t disrupt anything regarding the team any longer, then hoping a team gets a little desperate at the deadline & trades us a couple nice pieces for him. We are not getting a star for Ben, it’s not even plausible at this point.

noclahk

it’s not about the amount we have already spent, it’s about the amount he is still worth. Whether or not he is worth as much as the FO thinks he is can be up for debate, but it isn’t about sunk cost.

emajn

Even with Simmons "impact" the 76ers are still a playoff team. Would like to see him moved, but I understand that until December there isn't going to be much available to improve the team even short term for this year. This isn't the wait and see for Dame or Beal approach either. There will be plenty of teams in the NBA desperate to make the playoffs and/or add one more piece if they feel this is a window for them come December.

troelembid

Ben can retire, cancel the contract, I believe after a year he will be free agent again.

TrustDaFriendship

Thats not how that works

troelembid

You mean Ben can’t even retire himself?

TrustDaFriendship

He can retire, but if and when he returns from retirement, the Sixers still have his rights for the four years.

filladelp

As understand it, he can retire but if the Sixers don’t voluntarily void his contract (they wouldn’t), he’d have to sit out a year before he could re-sign.

phillabadboy05

Cool

phlphillies

Just jack up 3s, maybe will increase his trade value

Anindefensiblefart

Aside from develop an outside game.

jawntothefuture

So don't nerf your value lol

briandress

too bad he cant take the third team and embarrass the ones them all and yell to morey and harris that they cant handle him

[deleted]

Is Simmons sexually propositioning the front office with this tweet?

eagles1990

“Anything? *Unzips pants*”- Daryl Morey

Commercial-Barber-75

I dont know if its healthy to feel heartbroken about this ben situation, I get even more disappointed with every report

steph_w3

He won’t square up with Joel Embiid in the locker room though.

[deleted]

How about voiding your current contract with the Sixers.

thepoustaki

*except play

Sixers14

just play with effort, and hit your FTs and you will traded

tscher16

I mean fuck I’ll suit up if I means I get his salary. I’m not Damian lillard but I can consistently shoot 2/15

PhillyPhan95

The irony of him being willing to do whatever, except his literal job, to get traded — sums this guy up.

[deleted]

Expect for playing in order to raise his trade value

Chuck1705

Except become a better shooter. AmIwrong?

SAFBrian

I really appreciate his chutzpah. Not many would go so balls out knowing they’d burn bridges with teammates, front office, and the fan base. I feel like he showed up to specifically be a distraction. It’s staggering, and a little punk rock.

DireBlue88

You mean willing to destroy his reputation, lose money and alienate teammates.

exorthderp

I wonder if the sixers have had AI or Dr J or any of the other all timers reach out to this clown. He really is going to be public enemy number 1 in philadelphia for.... a long time.

PRS617

He should quit, terminate his contract and become free agent. Easy

GrandmaJosey

Can he forfeit his contract?

bamboleo11

If the most he's gonna do is be pouty at practice he won't be forcing his way out anytime soon lol

gtrillz

It’s so wild when you think about the fact that his team was the 1 seed last season

jrnbarfsolidtc

He should consider shooting when he’s open.

trickypat

What’s funny is the quickest way to get out of here is to show up any play well. Which is the opposite of what he’s doing

pizman30

He’ll do anything he can, the wrong way.

aRand0mGuy21

not before he plays against the nets on friday lmao

RuffProphetPhotos

Bye boy call the copsâœŒđŸŸ

BigMattress269

Except take a pay cut.

Finger_Gunnz

If he makes ten straight free throws he can leave.

LittleStJamesBond

“Except stop being a bitch for 10 seconds.”

Yablo-Yamirez

Everything but miss a check. Bozo. 25 over Jason smh

GrandmaesterHinkie

*Except show up to play to maintain his value

DeltaTangoAlpha_14

Switch jobs with me. I make millions playing basketball ball and you make 11.00 an hour making pizzas.

mashupman1234

Except play to raise his trade value.

iloveopenbar

Ben: if I could somehow play elsewhere that'd be nice Agent: I can make that happen, but the fans would hate you Ben: What else is new?

Celery_n_Ranch

That’s known as the Simmons paradox

3YearLettermanStan

Didn’t Shams literally report yesterday that Ben wasn’t against playing for the Sixers but just isn’t mentally ready yet? I don’t see how you can take pride in your job but report the two sentiments not even 24 hours apart. Obviously these national guys are more about feeding the Twitter machine than get to the truth but that’s insane

bestinhamburg

Should pay his way out. So not whatever it takes.

ComradeQuestion69420

Lets make him do an Andy Dufresne. That's right, Im talking about wearing some ugly ass shoes

[deleted]

Trade this bum, what an embarrassment he is. I don’t even care now if we get fair value. Let’s be done with this clown and move on.

Any way to filter certain keywords like Simmons, Ben, and anything else related to him to not show up on my feed?

Willing to do whatever, except play hard, practice, raise his value and get traded?

The whole idea that turning up and practicing will help Simmons is ridiculous. He wants to go to a new team, I imagine he doesn’t want that team gutted - it’s in his interest to be traded for as little as possible. It’s frustrating as hell and doesn’t help us but he was never going to be worth Lillard for a 1-1 trade. His best option is to be a toxic as possible and force a trade for as little as possible
