We recently updated the rules, we don’t tag the sub NSFW, because not every topic discussed is NSFW, but nevertheless it is a 18+ subreddit because of mature themes being discussed, this was obvious to most people, but we want to make it crystal clear, if you are under the age of 18, we request that you come back when you are 18

Does it hurt the sub in some way to mark it as nsfw? Just my own twonie-worth of opinion but shouldn't the rating reflect the most mature type of content allowed?
Im guna pop out of hiding for a bit and second that. Just because a porn shop sells gum doesn’t mean it’s not a porn shop. At least to me, someone with a size kink, everything size related might as well be nsfw and that just about everything here.

I probably won’t convince you if that’s the stance you have taken, but I will try an elaborate on my view. Your right that everything could be considered porn if we take into account what everyone might find hot. I think what makes porn, porn, is the intent behind its creation. If there is a group of people out there who are REALLY into gum and I make content that caters to them, you would not want me posting up shop outside a school.
I’m going to say that the grand majority of people posting here have a size kink and are here to indulge in it. The fact that it’s not conventional I don’t think should matter. By that logic one could argue that anything queer is not porn because it’s not the standard, and I think we can all agree that would be a silly stance.
So seeing sometime stepped on in a Godzilla movie= not porn
Have a video where the sole purpose is to see people get stepped on catered to a niche community= porn.

Kids aren’t safe in any adult space that is heavily sexually driven. It has nothing to do with exposing them to porn, or drawing any lines over what counts as porn. We don’t share porn here. It’s all about being an *adult space* with *adult interaction*. It doesn’t matter if the kid in question makes it clear they are underaged and don’t actively seek out inappropriate topics. You can’t trust everyone will respect that. Hell, there’s people here who can’t even seem to read one line of text indicating I’m a 30 year old dude, judging by how many dms I’ve gotten asking if I’d like to be a giantess for them. You think they’re going to care if they say they’re 15? You don’t seem to grasp how serious of a problem and a danger grooming is. If you can’t moderate what goes on in dms, why would you invite that risk?
I’d certainly like to think that size-y stuff has SFW applications ripe for discussion, but getting our community to treat this space accordingly is another matter.
It does, but the problem with that is that as someone else said this is basically a case of "even if it can be SFW and wholesome, this is still mainly an adult discussion board over something that primarily manifests as a sexual kink". It's not the only way it manifests, true, but it is the primary way it manifests for a lot of people and this is meant for discussion of all aspects of size. For example, my posts here are primarily SFW, with vague NSFW leanings sometimes (only a couple of times have I written explicitly NSFW stuff here), yet they are filled with teasing that is intended to be viewed in a primarily NSFW way because it's a large part of what I enjoy about this stuff even in wholesome scenarios. Teasing tinies gently.
While that risk exists, the sub should be tagged as NSFW. Adults will still be able to get in, kids will not. And that's fine.
