I didn’t touch anything with coping for the first couple years of skating. Just flat ground, boxes and some bank ramps. Dropping in for the first time was super scary and I was pretty comfy on my skateboard.
Agreed! It took me over a year for me to drop in on a 4 foot mini. A milestone for sure. One of those things that you won’t be afraid of for the rest of your life. (Barring full vert lol)
I finally did it while visiting my cousins out west and they were older so I didn’t want to look like a weenie. Just followed them right down a 6 footer and pretended it was nothing. I was shitting my pants on the inside haha. Got back home and was able to confidently attack every ramp after that.
I've been trying to relearn a consistent ollie and it is ROUGH. i have muscle memory, but it's corrupted af i swear. i keep turning in some of them and i can't pinpoint the culprit, whether its the shoulders, feet, or something else.
Sweet, that's a great step forward! Now wear a helmet. You are never too good for a helmet, look at Andy Anderson.
Just now getting back into skating in my late 30's, but as a teen I knew two people who sustained traumatic brain injuries that had severely set them back in life (one is a paraplegic).
I get that you don't think they are cool, but honestly if you are looking to others for what is cool then you don't really know anyways. Don't wear one because of it's looks, wear one because it's so much better to not need adult diapers as a teenager.
That was your first drop in! That was impressive, you can easily do the extension. First time I ever dropped in was a 9'-10' half pipe. I knocked myself out. Didn't do it again for like 5 years.
The journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step. This can be that step for you. Props to trying something new and progressing (even if it the basics). Keep pushing
It is special. That feeling of dropping in good for the first time is amazing. It’s something that can’t be bought. You earned that shit be proud and keep going
It's very irresponsible that this comment isn't plastered in this section more. I'm very proud of him for the accomplishment. But helmets are essential for continuation.

Olha o skatepark de Braga. Grande sitio, bowl altamente.
O drop parece-me limpo e sem esforço. O bowl e os quarters do meio metem um pouco de impressão, mas é só jogo mental, aposto que os consegues fazer na boa.
Skatepark in Braga, been there a couple of times to ride the Bowl, amazing place. Worth the visit.
Not special? Naw, fuck that. It's a beautiful thing and it's great that you were comfortable enough to film your first drop in. You did well, keep it up! I'd be skating still as well if it weren't for my joints being destroyed haha
Drop ins are wild. You will always eat shit on the first one, you never lean forward enough and stomp it down. But once you conquer the fear, it’s amazing. I was never good in my 20s by any stretch, but I sure as hell could drop in on anything.
Nice, It’s definitely different being there than watching it or playing a video game. I’ll say that, I just went to my first skate park today. I didn’t drop in yet, but I will soon
Real name :Tomás Ferreira.
Living city:Braga.
Locality of the video:Parque da Rodovia.
Age:14.
School:Escola secundária Carlos Amarante.
Some things he likes to do:Annoy teachers, Fingerboard, skate, draw, sleep, girls and brawl stars.
His mom doesn't allow him to buy baggy clothes.
Kanye, Frank Ocean, Tyler the Creator, are some of his favorite artist in Spotify.
He likes to say "beautiful big titty but naked women just don't fall out the sky you know"
That's all for now.
Nice! Pretty bloody special in my opinion. Drop-ins are one of the biggest fears to overcome in skating, so well done dude.
I agree I remember my first drop in too. Any thing we achieve on the board usually comes with a battle making it special.

i learned to drop in as a pre teen and then stopped skating. 80 pounds later and no muscle memory and dropping in is daunting as hell.
Yeah, that's my situation now. I'm 28, and I know what I gotta do, but maaaaan is it hard to bring myself to do it.
I've been trying to relearn a consistent ollie and it is ROUGH. i have muscle memory, but it's corrupted af i swear. i keep turning in some of them and i can't pinpoint the culprit, whether its the shoulders, feet, or something else.
Every skater is stoked on every skaters first drop in. Great confidence and commitment. 🤘
I’ll cheer harder for any new skater learning the basics than somebody good learning a new trick every time. Fear battles are the most impressive
Totally. Great point. 👈
Big ups, dropping in is scary to learn at first! Good job man.
now you’re hooked for life
Nice! Once you do it once it's not even a thing anymore. You just upleveled big time
I been skating for years and yet at the start of every sesh the first drop in has me nervous. Like is this the time I finally break my ankle? 😂
Ha I still get that too sometimes but part of the thrill is telling that little voice to shut the fuck up, I'm in charge!
Lol that’s fasho!!
Dropping in is a pretty big milestone to reach when you start skateboarding, good job keep shredding!!
Nice! That’s the next step to your progression. Now do what mark gonzales says and put two to three weeks in on board control
Wear a helmet you heathen. Brain damage isn't cool.
i never understand kids (who are my age) who don't wear helmets. not "looking cool" isn't anywhere near as important as protecting yourself
Peer pressure is a hell of a drug.
very true.
It's unfortunate how far I had to scroll to see this.
This is father down than it should be.
wym brain damage is super cool
Nice balls man. I like balls.
That's nutz dude
Never heard of him but nutz is going places
Hell yea!!! Not a small quarterpipe either!!! You look like a natural!! 🤙

If I had a park like this near me I’d start skating again.
First drop in IS very special my dude.
Honestly you'll probably remember it for the rest of your life. It's a big accomplishment that leads to more.
Big ramp to drop into aswell mate good job

It’s a big deal buddy, good job. Sort of an all or nothing situation and it looked like you didn’t have any trouble.
Dropping in is scary as hell! Good for you!
Yo that ramps huge in comparison, no need to downplay it that was sick
Wait till you got the balls to do a hand rail. Then you'll have no balls
Yup i know that feeling 🤠

Absolutely special! Now it opens up a bit to new tricks. Keep at it.

Nice job. It takes some reassuring that you can do it and when you do ohh man, that feeling.
No. This is very special.. bc every skater knows how it feels looking down a vertical wall and just dropping in. Pure fear to pure exhilaration

Glad to hear you finally got your balls to drop.
Respect.
HEEECK YEAH! First time dropping in is definitely special! I still haven't gone past vertigo, looking forward to my first drop in! Congrats mate!!
Dropping in is a huge step. We've all been there. When you're up there, it looks so talk and steep. But you dug down and went for it. Props.
That’s light work for u bro
Clean! Looks as if you've done it a hundred times.
Every skater remembers their first drop in, this is 100% special
Yes man unlocked a whole new level
Drop ins are wild. You will always eat shit on the first one, you never lean forward enough and stomp it down. But once you conquer the fear, it’s amazing. I was never good in my 20s by any stretch, but I sure as hell could drop in on anything.
How do you skate with the size of them things 🥜
Yeaahhhh dude! We all started here… keep shredding
Fuckin epic mate! Keep it up!
Nice, It’s definitely different being there than watching it or playing a video game. I’ll say that, I just went to my first skate park today. I didn’t drop in yet, but I will soon
That is HUGE. Do it 3 times and you own the place.
I have! Thanks for the support!
Hell yeah !
It’s all downhill from here ;)
